I love this style of motel. The rooms are nicely decorated and a good size. The room comes with a decent-sized mini fridge, microwave, single-serve coffee machine with coffee, a table and chair, and an accent chair. The walls were clean and the flooring is vinyl. Lots of pillows! Great room rate. The mattresses were very squishy, almost like they might be old or worn out. A little more attention to cleaning hairs from the bathroom would also be nice, and the bathroom could use some minor cosmetic repairs. The location is good. Just a couple miles or less to Miami U. The incense shops down the street is nice. Walmart is jsut a bit further than that. You can hear your neighbors having normal conversations in the next room, which is pretty typical for this style and age of motel. There’s also a fair amount of foot and car noise since you pull right up outside the door. People should remember to be considerate of their neighbors. The room has a heater/AC combo unit. When we used the heat, the air smelled damp and unpleasant, like a filter might need to be cleaned or replaced. Or the unit just serviced. Its a fixable smell with routine maintenance. The guy checking me in was nice. His accent was a bit thick, but he was very helpful and even gave us a couple of waters. Overall, I would stay here again.

I originally was going to call this review "This Pig Needs More Lipstick". The website claimed that it had been recently refurbished. The reviews claimed it was nicely redone & clean. HOWEVER. I am now calling this review Bait & Switch. We booked a King room. When we checked in, the clerk said "I see you booked a King room". We said yes. We were then given a room with two queens. This would have been fine if the motel was completely full. It wasn't. We went to our room & - it looked as if they put in vinyl flooring and slapped some paint on the walls. Our bed was old. The blanket had holes in it. The bathroom was tiny & had not been upgraded - unless you count the tape that they put around the tub instead of grout. There was no drain cover in the tub. The tub was actually below floor level. The sink was a pedestal sink with nowhere to put your toiletries. The toilet was so close to the wall, you had to lean out of the way to get to the toilet paper. After we checked out (a day early I might add), we looked it up on their website. The website describes it as "A perfect fusion of comfort & elegance" & "Lavish Getaway a blend of Comfort & Style". Ummmm. No. The pictures are nowhere close to what it actually looks like. I do not know where those rooms were but they were not where we were. I advise you to avoid this motel. We definitely will not be back.

Parked at door. Very clean and nicely furnished. Very small room with tiny bathroom. Worked for us. They kindly let us checkout at noon instead of 11am. When we arrived heat was off in room. Took an hour or so to start heating it up. Reported to desk that small refrigerator sounded like compressor was going out. Traveled here to watch grandsons hockey games. Thanks Butler Inn

The Inn has improved since we last stayed in it 7-8 years ago, but it still is a 2.5 - 3 Star hotel with no amenities. There was a very strong odor, such that we kept the door open for several minutes despite it being very cold outside. There is no ice or filtered water option, but it was nice that they allowed us free ice from the gas station across the street. It was near impossible to prevent water from flowing onto the floor from the shower.

Strong cigarette smoke in the room. I would have switched to another hotel but the prices in town were astronomical and it was late to drive to Hamilton. Stay away from this facility.

For a quick night, good. The only issue was you could see light around the door and the cold air would enter. Had to constantly run the heat. Also, was are super thin, could hear the neighbor and his tv.

Exterior of the property has a nice appearance. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Floors were entirely vinyl and they were filthy and my feet showed it. Tub drain was extremely slow so at toward the end of my shower i was standing in about 8” of water. Bath vanity sink was also plugged so when brushing teeth it took forever to rinse the sink down. Next time I would rather pay more and stay somewhere where rooms are a little bigger and cleaner. I guess you get what you pay for.
