We were offered a sale price from Expedia only to arrive at Coco Reef and have them charge us almost $200 more. Buyer beware, Coco Reef lied about us charing things to the room and lied to us about "extra taxes and fees". The original sale price had included taxes and fees. Expedia did not get us our money back. Choose a better hotel, and don't trust Expedia sales.

This hotel has a great location. The staff in general were great, with the noted exception of the front desk which managed to mess up the most of the 14 rooms we had for our group. No ownership of issues, happy to blame us for booking too many rooms. The restaurant food was good, not great. The service in the restaurant and bar was fantastic. Pool arean and beachfront were very good.

Not a 5* hotel but it was everything it advertised and thus gave it 5*. I was not disappointed. It’s an older hotel that’s been updated. I was happy with the room. Great ocean view and left balcony doors open for the breeze. Ate at the restaurant for lunch, good. Used the beach, lovely. Walked to nearby grocery store, handy. Used the Bermuda college gym beside the hotel (small and dated but had all the weight equipment I needed). There are bus stops in walking distance. Taxis in to town were quick and under $20. I would stay here again.

Bermuda wow great place to visit,Our stay at the Coca Reef hotel was very enjoyable comfortable, in dining prices at the hotel reasonable. We attended Mass on Sunday at St Michael’s Catholic Church with the locals and sermons delivered by a great Priest Father Joseph, has great faith the next Padre Pio if you get a chance go attend Sunday Mass you are welcomed by all.

All of the staff was excellent, especially Cynthia in reservations, I booked my stay through Expedia and Expedia messed up the booking and was unwilling to fix it or take responsibility for the error. I called the hotel and Cynthia took care of it immediately!!

Terrible experience FAKE REVIEWS We were checked into a room with - a thick layer of dust on all surface areas - a dirty food stained napkin and a pubic hair at the coffee station - the bed was made but the sheets were not changed - on the sheets we found pubic hair, body hair, body fluid stains, glitter and hair like someone had a hat cut in the bed There was dried blood on the door frame and above the washroom trash can The toilet had not been cleaned Of course I went to the front desk and the staff asked me to show the cleaner what needed to be cleaned I was not comfortable to do this as I felt it was not appropriate for a guest to direct cleaning staff. Nor should it be my job to ensure the room is clean. We checked out and had to find a new hotel. Only to find that they charged my card for the full 4 nights and refused to approve a refund to Expedia. Then - when I called - the manager spoke on and on about ensuring me the room was removed from being offered to guests and they were investigating what happened. To me it was clear what happened. I don’t care about the room or an investigation- I wanted a refund. The manager then asked me to help her with a surveillance issue / that after we checked out someone damaged the door frame. I was like / what ?? Why are you asking me this? Then I realized it was for the purpose of accusing us of the damage to refuse a refund. A scam. A fraud. A horrible hotel.

There is shops about 4 miles away in the town of Hamilton. You could take a bus if you don’t suffer from Orthopedic problems because it’s a lot of steep uphill walking to the bus stop. I used a cab to get from A to B. My biggest problem was the pump in the utility room 3 doors down from my room which was beachfront and pricey kept banging throughout the day and night disturbing my sleep.The hotel offered another room after the problem wasn’t corrected to sleep at night. That room was a cheaper booking and another steep climb!!House keeping was friendly. On the day of checkout the woman at the front desk handed me a bill for 150.00 dollars more than Expedia booked me for. She called the manager and had to accept my original quote from Expedia ,but complained that I was underpaying!! Coffee pot was broken in the room. Housekeeping could only find me a kettle that I gladly excepted. The beautiful beach is the only reason I would recommend this hotel.However the majority of the staff were kind.

This property exceeded our expectations in everyway. As beach walkers we were pleasantly surprised that the private beach is actually the end part of Elbow Beach so we could beach walk the full length. And our view of the Ocean from Room 303 was spectacular! Especially nice was the sun rises!

That beach sand was incredible. I haven’t seen a beach so clean before. The property was lovely and the rooms were newly renovated. Some of the trim wasn’t as fancy for Bermuda, but you get what you pay for and this is one of the more affordable spots on the island. Worth every penny for that view and beach!
