This hotel is literally steps away from the entrance of Machu Picchu, which means you can easily catch both sunrise and sunset at the site, as well as leave and re-enter. The staff is truly exceptional. Rodolfo and Erving were incredibly helpful, considerate and accommodating. Dinner menu and service very impressive, but the lunch buffet is outstanding in terms of quality, presentation, and selection. Would highly recommend! More than fair value for the cost considering inclusion of meals and...

After reading reviews of Aguas Calientes in general, I was leery of the accommodations available. This was so inaccurate! The town is much better than what I read, and this hotel was the best one yet! (Better than Cuzco, Lima, and Ollantaytambo) The bed was bigger than my king at home. That alone made me smile when I walked in. I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for three nights and loved it. It actually felt like a vacation.

Truly recommend to stay at Chaullay Salkantay Hostel during your Salkantay trek. The place has exceeded our expectations (especially after other lodges during the trek). The rooms are a great standard and provide real comfort, they are clean with towels and soaps. We had a room with a private bathroom which was clean, convenient and with an amazing shower (all you wish for during the trek!). The beds are very comfortable and it’s a proper building, sheltering you from the cold and wind, letting...

I highly recommend this hotel. I would stay here again. We were here for Machu Picchu. Excellent stay. Had a room on the 4th floor over the river. The river is kind of loud, but great windows so it seemed more like a "white noise" in the background which was quite nice actually. Despite its proximity to the station, we could not hear any train at all from our side. There is a train that passes literally 5 feet in front of the hotel so get the river side if possible. This place was great! Recommend to all. The staff go above and beyond to help you and make you feel welcome. Clean, solid breakfast, very kind staff who asked us every time they saw us if we needed anything (and offered toiletries, towels, room cleaning, directions, advice). The polla a la brassa across the street was very good and only 30 soles per meal--don't get ripped off by the tourist restaurants on the main street.

I came to Aguas Calientes alone as a solo female traveler heading up to Machu Picchu, and this place was absolutely perfect in every way. Jaw dropping river views with the rushing water so loud, I was in heaven. I loved my morning coffee on the patio looking at the river. The service was impeccable and the breakfasts hearty - all I could have hoped for.

I cannot say enough great things about Naturalodge! They met us at the train station when we arrived, carried our bags for us, assisted me to get an additional room, provided wake up service, a delicious fresh cooked breakfast at whatever time you need (5 am for us), stored our luggage, and let us hang out in the lobby after check out! The rooms were clean and comfortable:) Everything was so accommodating! Just a warning that there are about 60 steps to climb to get to the hotel, but there are...

We were upgraded from the MAi P to the main Inkaterra property when we arrived. The grounds were incredible we saw a rare birds from the Jacuzzi and the general layout of the grounds and casitas was beautiful and otherworldly. Great property, highly recommend.

The Location was everything! We walked from the train station and next morning walked to the bus station for Machu Picchu. Waking up to the sound and view of the river was simply magical☺️

This place was magical! Within walking distance to the train station. It's a super small town and there are no cars. The hotel can arrange for someone to meet you at the train station and assist with carrying luggage.
There are a lot of shops and great restaurants so get lost and have fun! Note that some of the outdoor restaurants charge a 'service fee'. One of the restaurants we stumbled upon had horrible service and they slipped us that service fee so just ask.
