"The house and property were absolutely beautiful - exactly the way it was portrayed online. I like to make breakfast on our family trips and the kitchen was fully equpped imo. The only thing missing was drinking water but luckliy we brought a case of bottled water. The house is in remote location in a quiet neighborhood. It's a perfect getaway from city life. We were 5 mintues from the Aurora Ferry. We took advantage of that and got to see Bath, Bellhaven and Washington across the Pamlico River. We visited the Fossil Museum and came home with a few shark teeth that we dug up from the lot. I recommend cooling down at the Blue Crab Boutique after digging in the hot sun. The ice cream there is delicious and it is also a gift shop with an adorable reading nook. The sweet woman who owns it did an amazing job removating the building. We got some seafood at Frank and Shirleys and took it back to the house to eat and watch TV. It was the best sleep I've had at a VRBO location. The pier was my kids' favorite part about the property. "

"What a gem! We (two adults and two kids, 10 & 14) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pamlico Cottage. From enjoying our morning coffee on the pier to watching the dolphins swim by, the cottage is in a magical location. The kids loved kayaking and fishing. Mary was an exceptional communicator, making our whole experience seamless. The cottage is well supplied with everything you need, and we appreciated all the small touches like retro games, books, toiletries and a well stocked kitchen. Recommend stopping into the Trader Joe’s on the way in Greenville, otherwise Food Lion is your closest grocery store. If you genuinely want to get away from it all, this is the place for you! "

"Beautiful secluded property on the water. The place was very clean and well furnished. Out first night there we saw dolphins swimming up the cove, jellyfish, crab, hooked something huge while fishing but lost it. This is the perfect place to stay to get away from the world and relax. "
