Andrew Peller chose Canada to live and work when he emigrated from Hungary in 1927. Already a successful businessman, his vision was to incorporate quality wines into Canada’s lifestyle. In 1961, he began the business in British Columbia and it quickly expanded to other parts of the country. Imagine the family’s sense of fulfillment and pride when the Niagara-on-the-Lake location opened in 2001.
Familiarize yourself with the awards many of the wines have earned, such as the Signature Series Cabernet Franc Private Reserve Riesling and the highly cherished Icewine. This special wine is made from grapes harvested by hand after freezing on the vine.
