A huge front yard for games, a fully converted garage entertaining area, "The Mental Repair Shop," and a private dock just steps from the home. At the end of your dock, you’ll find two great options: a 24ft pontoon boat for cruising and relaxing, and a 22ft, 2022 MasterCraft NXT wakesurf boat available for rent. For groups looking to wakesurf, wakeboard, waterski, or just cruise the lake in style, this is the perfect boat for you—great for both beginners and experienced riders. This is the place for easy living, beautiful sunsets, and great times on the water. We also offer discounts for longer stays—so settle in and enjoy lake life at your own pace. This home is one of the only true "turnkey" lake house experiences out there. We have meticulously designed the home and the guest experience to make sure it comes with all of the benefits you would get from owning your own lake home. The home has a private beach and a dock with two rental boat options: a 24ft pontoon boat and a 22ft, 2022 MasterCraft NXT wakesurf boat. The house was designed and decorated with families and groups in mind. The 3-stall oversized garage has been converted into a large entertaining room, complete with a bar, game table, lounge chairs, and a buffet serving area. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for longer stays and big meals at home. For those mixing a little work into their trip, we have fast, reliable mesh WiFi, an electronic sit/stand desk, and sliding glass barn doors for privacy. Most importantly, this home comes with a wonderful community supporting it: friendly and welcoming neighbors, as well as family members of the owner nearby. If you ever need anything during your stay, we’re always around to help. We love Marion Lake, we love sharing that experience with new people, and we want to make sure you get a chance to fall in love with Marion Lake the way we have. I have family that lives a few doors down in both directions, so if you ever need anything, give me a call/text, and we can have someone over asap to help you! Friendly, quiet neighborhood. Mix of primary residence homes and 2nd homes. Great community, very friendly! Easy neighborhood to navigate, plenty of parking at the house. Decades ago, my grandpa and great-grandpa built a cottage just down the shore, and with that, our family has been on the lake for 60+ years. I grew up in Minneapolis and spent every summer up here a few doors down. Early on, we were all crammed into a tiny cottage and tents in the yard when guests came. Over time, the tents went into storage as my parents added a bedroom onto the garage. While life has brought me literally around the world—living in New York, London, Singapore, San Francisco, and now Reno—Marion Lake has always been home. Whether a 3-hour drive or an 8,000-mile flight, I’ve always found a way to get back to the lake at least once a year. An opportunity came up in 2021 for me to buy this home and achieve my lifelong goal of having my own place on Marion Lake. I’m excited to share a little piece of it with you, and I hope this place creates special memories for you and your group—just like the countless ones I have. Maximum Occupancy & Quiet Hours – Per Otter Tail County guidelines, the property allows a maximum of 12 guests at any time, both during the day and overnight. Quiet Hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. During this time, outdoor noise should stay at or below normal conversation level, and indoor noise should be kept low enough that it doesn’t disturb the neighbors. If you have any questions about these rules or how they might apply during your stay, please feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help! While you’re here – Please only park on the paved driveway, do not park in the finished garage or on the grass. Please do not flush anything other than waste and TP down the toilets, we are on a septic system! Gas grill is set up with propane on the back patio, please only use it there and do not move it. Reminder, no pets and no smoking allowed. Garbage & Recycling – Garbage can on the side of the garage. Garbage must be bagged and the can placed at the top of the driveway Monday night for Tuesday AM pickup. Recycling should be sorted & placed in the cans in the garage. Prior to leaving (15-30 min) – please wash dirty dishes/load & run the dishwasher. Please place sheets, pillowcases & towels (but not mattress pads or blankets) in the laundry area next to the washer & dryer. Please return all water sports equipment and outside seating to their original location. Don’t forget anything in the fridge! The property, lake, and home are beautiful and worked great for our family (4 bedrooms for 7 adults). The location was very convenient, only about a 10 minute drive to Perham and the home had everything we needed. The hosts were wonderful and answered all of our questions promptly. We have been coming to Perham for many years (decades), staying at fishing resorts - this is the first year ever staying in a house, and we were honestly blown away! The house has a great layout, it allows for many different options to gather to eat, talk, play cards, or just relax - including seating outdoors to grill and take in the lake views! We used the bikes for afternoon bike rides, and used the kayaks on Lake Marion- they were so much fun and easy to get on and off from the dock. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We came to fish - we had 3 fishing boats - there was plenty of parking space to accommodate our parking needs, and we felt centrally located to all of our favorite fishing lakes! The sweet owners were always available and answered all of our questions very timely- they are very nice and caring! The property is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes from the town of Perham where you can grab groceries or hit some boutiques. Renting the pontoon was easy and the fishing was great. We used the kayaks and the paddle board. We also had a nice fire - super nice to have the chopped wood right there. We used the grill for dinner and had a family table tennis tourney later on. The bedrooms and living room are spacious. Kitchen appliances are new and cupboards are well stocked with everything we needed. Loved the whole set up. Lots of toys for kids and games/cards for adults. With the extra family space in the garage this property has plenty of room to gather without feeling crowded. Clean, spacious, stocked with everything you need and great Lake access. We were able to keep our boat in the water all week at the dock at the property. They have a fishing boat and a pontoon to rent if you don't own your own boat. Finished garage to hang out in with a ping pong table, the kids loved it. We had such a great time we are already booking for next summer! Although the weather didn’t always cooperate during our stay it didn’t really matter. We had just as much fun gathering around playing games inside as we did outside in the beautiful yard and on the lake. Everything is clean, well maintained and the house is well stocked with things that make you feel at home. My parents, who live close by, were even able to come visit and because the yard is so flat and the house is all one level it was very accessible for my dad’s wheelchair. Mark, Adam and Becky were extremely responsive and easy to work with.
