The hosts were friendly and cooked a delicious hot breakfast each day, with several menu choices. It was nice to chat with other guests over breakfast in the bright, attractive dining room. There was also a nice common sitting room with comfortable furniture, tea, and snacks. The house is located on a busy road, but there is ample parking for several guests out front. My room was at the side, and the traffic quieted at night, so it wasn't a bother as far as sleeping. The guest house is a half mile walk to town with one grocery store and two take-out places (pizza and Chinese/Scottish fish) along the way. If you're heading somewhere close to the south bridge, you can walk along the riverfront path, which is nice. The two taxi services I used to get to and from the bus / train were punctual and friendly; that's an easy option if you don't want to walk or have heavy luggage. Rob made us feel very welcome & the staff did the same. We stayed in room 2 which is to the rear . Very comfortable & quite. Only 1 thing ...The TV could be bigger šŸ˜‚ The breakfast was very nice & had a good selection to choose from.
