David, the owner, was an engaging and passionate host, but gave the impression that he couldn’t be bothered to go too much beyond the expected. The room was charming! However, it’s an old building and it lacked modern amenities and the room was in an isolated part of the building. “A busy friendly pub hotel that made us feel very welcome. Very clean, very large comfy bed. A quiet large warm room and clean bathroom. Staff were friendly and obliging and breakfast delicious. Loved the fact a table at dinner was reserved even without asking and then you could choose not to take it. We did and the menu was varied in a dining room that took good COVID precautions. We enjoyed our dinner. Really great value for money and would definitely recommend.”
