My go-to hotel in GoodyearPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The location, the staff, the AC--it was very hot outside, breakfast and the free cookie at check-in, and the good water pressure in the shower.
Cons: Rug had some stains. They presumably had been cleaned and that was the smell we noticed in the room.
Location: Several fun casual restaurants in walking distance, and more in a 5 minute drive.
I stay in Goodyear 2-4 times a year, and this is my go-to hotel most of the time. There are several restaurants in easy walking distance. Freddy's is a family favorite. On our last visit, there was a chemical smell in the room. It wasn't unpleasant, just unexpected. In the 5 minutes it took to turn the air Conditioning down, we mention the smell to one of the housekeeping staff, the odor had faded until it was barely perceptable. It didn't affect our enjoyment of the room.

I was traveling on business. It was a stop over night as I still had 4 more hours to drive. The location is great easy access on and off the freeway. Easy to find and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. I would stay there again.

Good location for this visit.Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Comfortable beds.
Cons: Starting with management
Location: We were visiting and this was close.
Desk clerk assigned our two rooms on seperate floors, change was made to both on third floor but we we got there we found we were assigned the same room, another change. Room carpet was extremly stained and soiled. TV digital channels kept disappearing and went all one day with only 6-8 analog channels. We were billed for room even though it was booked and paid in advance by Expedia, still have not resolved that problem. This hotel does not live up to Holiday INN experience.

Pool's capacity was only 4 people at any one timePosted Apr 1, 2015 on Hotels
Went to AZ for spring training. The hotel was nice enough, but the pool had a grand total of 4 chairs and 1 table. I asked the manager if there were any more chairs available and was told that no, but more were on order. I guess not a big deal but we were there for 5 days and could not use the pool because there was always a family occupying the 4 chairs. I suppose we could have sat down on the cement around the pool, but it was 91+ degrees and the cement was like a frying pan. It seems to me it would have been easy enough to rent some type of chairs until the new ones came in, or even just gone to Walmart and bought some of those plastic stacking chairs. It looked like a nice pool and limiting it to 4 people seemed a bit of a waste to me.

Great stay, great experience.Posted Mar 31, 2015
Location: Close to Spring Training, Target,Cracker Barrel and other restaurants within walking distance.
Staff was helpful and friendly. We were there for a few days of Spring Training. They always greeted us and asked how our team did, offered suggestions on eating, getting around town, etc. Several elderly were in the hotel and the staff patiently listened to their stories and viewed pictures of grandkids. Breakfast was better than usual. Holiday Inn Express normally has a good one to begin with but the morning breakfast crew were really great at keeping everything filled up, fresh, and hot.

A comfy stayPosted Mar 29, 2015 on Hotels
our room had a really comfy bed, and a choice of firm or soft pillows. Although we faced the main road we couldn't hear it. The staff were very helpful.

Carpet stains kind of a turn off, but other than that, nice room.
