My first time since they “upgraded” the rooms. With all carpet ripped out and vinyl floor in, the room feels cold and unhome-like. There’s zero USB chargers in the bedroom and plugs difficult to get to. As well as no bedroom lights on a switch. So you need to use your phone’s flashlight to get around. All cabinets in kitchen and bathroom, headboard, night stands, coffee table and dressers are still old items from previous hotel. Window coverings are also old with broken hardware and don’t keep light out. I wanted to like it, but left underwhelmed. What Sonesta does have going for it is the rooms are a decent size, you didn’t hear neighbors and the halls are quiet, which is a plus.
