This hotel is generally lovely because of its modern and artistic aesthetic. Overall clean. The rooms are spacious modern and fun, have hard flooring (no carpet) and the comforter is white. Its also close enough to the strip without being in the chaos. However, here are the downsides of staying here - its in an area where the surrounding is a little suspect. Inside the hotel, not all restaurants are open all day- we got in at a time where most restaurants were closed and only reopened at 5 pm so the options were very few. We ended up spending $70 for 2 people at the chinese spot, which was decent but not amazing. Then, the room appeared to be clean but upon closer inspection there were some disappointing things: a clipped toenail on the bathroom floor, the white comforter with melted chocolate stains and a small piece of broccoli smooshed into it which tells me they don't wash those comforters (EW). The patented beds which are fabric looked like they had seen some things. They need a cleaning. Tiny hairs decorated the shower. There is also no coffee maker in the room - Virgin should look into getting Bruvi's for all the chambers. The front desk agent, Ashley, was very responsive and apologetic to my complaints and rectified the situation immediately with housekeeping and by refunding a night of resort fees for which I was immensely grateful. Opal building is close to garage but corner views not great in Opal. Would I stay here again? Maybe, if they correct the cleanliness.
