"If for some odd reason you find yourself in Pistoia, I can heartily recommend the Locanda San Marco. The staff is absolutely wonderful - they genuinely seem to care about their guests. And even if you don't have a need for two bedrooms, go ahead and splurge on the Baroni Suite. You'll be glad you did. I believe the Locanda is an old palazzo and is certainly built castle solid. "This hotel is perfectly situated next to Pistoia town, half way between Pisa and Florence and a perfect quiet calm stop between the two. Sadly the pool was not working the day we were there which was a disappointment but apart from that the service was excellent and the team were lovely and friendly."

"We were greeted by a young lady who spoke excellent english. The room we had was on the top floor and was very clean. We spent one comfortable night at the hotel and will return next year when the blues festival is on. The staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money."
