“This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane……

“We had a really great stay at Villa Marcela. It is perfectly located just off the main road in La Fortuna so you are close to all the action but out of the way a bit. There is plenty of space at the house for everyone to have their own rooms. The kids loved playing in the pool in the evening after a long day of exploring. There is tons to do all within about an hour drive of the house, including arenal volcano, zip lines, river tubing, waterfalls, El Salto rope swing, and so much more.”

“We had a great time staying in this location. The view of the volcano is so nice, and the yard is beautifully landscaped. Being so close to the highway, you can sometimes hear a bit of traffic, but it wasn't too bad. Having Soda La Palma next door was great! We ate there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We stayed all over Costa Rica during our 12 day trip, and one of the highlights was the chilera served with the empanadas. The garden behind the soda is beautiful and my daughter loved Balu……

“Upon arrival, we initially received incorrect directions, but the property management promptly dispatched someone to our location. They arrived within 5-10 minutes, and we were able to follow them directly to the home.The property is situated approximately 10 minutes from La Fortuna, down a well-maintained paved rural road. The beautifully landscaped yard, complete with charming paths, backs directly onto a river, with the jungle just beyond. Each afternoon, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the……
