“The views were gorgeous. The overall setting was amazing and the restaurant next door was very helpful. Communication for anything you need at the room could be finicky. Overall pretty good place to stay, close to La Fortuna.”

“It was alright but nothing close by and boring, and only beans and rice for breakfast. Def not ideal unless you just wanna sit in the room ”

“Rooms were clean,location was convenient to everything . We cooked breakfast one of the days and it was a plus that we were able to wash and dry our clothes .”

“Loved the vibe of this place at night!! We got there late afternoon, nice and cool on the mountain side, chilled outside while it was raining and enjoyed the sunset and atmosphere of the place! I'd definitely stay here again!”

“The property was beautiful! The host was very accommodating! I had to check out a day early and she was agreeable and reimbursed me for the night. They also decorated for our anniversary which was so sweet! The area was very secluded and definitely relaxing! The drive there is a bit taxing and I would definitely recommend renting an AWD or FWD most of the road is not paved. The drive is about 30-40 mins out from food or stores. So stock up beforehand. The host did send me two restaurants that……

“We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day. Muchas gracias!”

“Parking was pretty tight, so if you are using a larger vehicle make sure to let them know so you can work with your down stairs neighbor. There isn’t really anything in walking distance but there is tons near by if you are driving ! The property owner was extremely kind and had great suggestions for activities for our stay. The morning birds and howler money were an added bonus and you never know what creatures you are going to catch rubbing under the street lights at night ! Extremely……
