Hotel con buen personal, algo antiguo, ubicado en el centro pero rodeado de calles muy sucias y con vagabundos y drogadictos

For the price and location it was great!! I will go back for sure.

I like the rooms but I didn’t like the fact that no body can speak English there

As an international guest, I had expected that someone in the hotel is able to speak in English. That was not the case at all. In fact, when I was checking in, there was a problem with my payment, and it was really frustrating for both of us not being able to communicate properly. I relied on google translate if I wanted to ask about something, and that should be pretty much a yes/no question. The hotel did not have any map or booklet that explains the attraction points in the city. I thought that is fairly typical in any hotel, I don't know. maybe not in Brazil. Breakfast is Ok, nothing too exciting though. Internet was good. The facility is a bit old (or it looks old), and my room was very small. It mostly felt like a private hostel room. The hotel is located in one of the busiest part of the city. For a foreigner, it might feel a little rough in the first glance, but I got comfortable going out after a couple of days. Probably not the best place to stay out late though.
