It’s a corner unit making it available to perks the others do not have. Located just across the street from Mango Marley’s, a local family restaurant and bar, it’s a perfect place to take advantage of the beach during the day and catch a game on TV, a meal and drinks at night. More importantly to most, Good Day Sunshine is on the beachside of Highway 98 and is a very short walk to the beach and has fabulous views from the decks. Not only is the location fantastic, there is not a detail left out of the layout and décor. There is custom artwork and murals painted inside and out of this townhome. It’s as though you are vacationing in an art gallery. Not only is the artwork to marveled over, the custom-built bar on the ground level is a true one of a kind. With a pool table, a separate card table and the bar on the ground floor entertaining will be easy for you and your guests. As if the beach and the indoor entertainment isn’t enough, there is a fenced in patio deck with swim spa perfect for an afternoon soak while sipping on a cocktail. The beach views from the swim spa are something to marvel over as well. We recognize most travelers visit Mexico Beach for its white sand shores and crystal-clear water. There are unobstructed views of both from the beachside decks on each level. With just a short walk, and no other streets to cross, access to the beautiful beach is a breeze. The beaches are clean, nice & mostly empty. Mango Marleys is great, once you get seated. Our issues included bugs, maintenance & inaccurate descriptions of the property & pictures. Upon arrival, at 10:30pm, we walked thru the garage & opened the door to the condo. A huge cockroach scurried from under the small table to the back door of the condo. The following morning we also found ants, food, maintenance issues inside the condo & also the swim spa. After looking at the swim spa, one side of the cover was flipped open & we saw it was swampy green & full of algae. Maintenance was called, they came & left us a note to check the circuit breaker board, to fix one of the issues. We were also told, they had "nuked the swampy swim/spa." After purchasing groceries for the week, we found ants all over the 2nd fl kitchen countertop & all over the food. We found more ants by the sliding glass door, & ants in the 3rd fl master bathroom. We purchased our own ant traps(which we did find old ant traps under the dishwasher), called maintenance for the 2nd time, to have them come out for the ant problem. I spoke with Josh at Pristine. The second day, we woke up expecting gorgeous views of the beach. We were extremely disappointed & upset to see a home was in the process of being built close to the property. So, we could NOT see the, as described, "unobstructed ocean views" we were promised. Updated pictures & descriptions would have been nice. We were going between two properties & chose this one, due to the "unobstructed views." Photos & verbiage NEEDS to be updated!! Later in the week, we woke up to broken air conditioning on the second level of the condo being 76 degrees. We made our 3rd call to Pristine. On call back, "sometimes, when the thermostat is set below 70, the air conditioner will freeze up & stop working." We are in Florida during the hottest part the summer. The air did come back on after we set all thermostats to 70 degrees. Consider other locations due to the price you are paying for the view, that you DO NOT GET. Even though houses are being built near the property, you still have plenty of ocean views!! It was wonderful to see the workers out rebuilding Mexico Beach. The only issues we had was that the trash was full when we arrived. We called property management company who said they would empty the trash but they only emptied half of it. We had a few other minor issues and tried to reach the property management through the VRBO app and never heard anything back. We had also tried to reach them 3 times before the trip with no help as well. I do not want this to take a way from the awesomeness of the property. We would stay there again without question. I just think maybe a new property management company may better assist guests. Crazy Beach pizza is across the street and was great. We also tried the taco truck and went to the coffee shop every morning. However, we had a negative experience with the property management company. We promptly reported that the swim/spa feature did not work, but it was never fixed (and we never saw anyone even trying to fix it). Maintenance issues happen. However, there was no proactive offer of a partial refund, and the property management company has failed to return our call since we checked out. I couldn't imagine returning to this property as long as it is managed by its current property management company. The house is amazing, well-kept and clean. The view is amazing, although that may change as new housing is going up between the back patio and the beach. The beach is beautiful white sand and utterly deserted. The best part is it is literally out the back door.
