Lovely interior and staff at reception very helpful. Breakfast was also very nice. Only drawback for us was the room was very very warm even with the window open and a fan on which meant we didn't sleep well during our stay.

Booked this for my mum and dad and they said how the hotel was very convenient to the local attractions however the rooms where not cleaned well at all, the dust on the bedside table, dressing table and tv was obvious to the eye. Not meeting their expectations.

Room was clean, had an excellent bed and a terrific bathroom. Hotel was nice and quiet, no hearing other rooms TVs or chat. Complimentary chocolate and gin was also a nice touch. Central location means you are only a short walk from the Harbour, Train Station and the beach. Only negative of the room was the heating/air conditioning. Heating was a radiator which was very warm but with no air conditioning we struggled to cool the room down even with the window open and we visited end of February so i can imagine it being unpleasant in the summer with no air conditioning. But other than that, a perfect hotel

5 stars is too much for this hotel. Double bed is in fact suitable only for one short person! Photos are not like the reality there. No shelf in the bathroom to even put your wash bag. Nothing is practical. And breakfast was the worst part. They gave me white toast saying this is sourdough. Staff are not nice (except one person at front desk). Things were constantly not working. Also no parking for 5 star hotel! It’s def a 3 star hotel

A excellent welcome from the hotel staff However, the room was quite stuffy when we arrived. Disappointed with the quality of the room with the price we paid. Service for the breakfast was very slow and again not up to the standard we were expecting. The “piped” music was also very dismal! OK in the late evening but not at breakfast. Overall, too expensive, not 4* rather a 3*+ Will not use again
