Needs remodeling

Posted Oct 4, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Heat in room Water dripping in tub, stains
Location: Culinary institute of America Roosevelt library Vanderbilt estate New paltz, cute town to shop and eat
We checked in to very friendly staff members which continued for one day stay. People in next room had several dogs that barked most of night. Called desk twice. They just charged them for sneaking them in. I feel that they should have been moved to the pet friendly area of the hotel. What if someone that was allergic came to that room?? Also weather changed and only the air conditioner worked NO HEAT! Rate too high for room

Stay somewhere else.

The hotel itself doesn't look too bad, but our room had a bad smell and the hotel breakfast was terrible. Additionally, a fire alarm went off and we spent nearly an hour outside with our baby.

You get what you pay for

we had to remind them every day to give us extra towels. They never made up the room on time. The carpeting in the room was disgusting. The complementary breakfast was poor. Took us a half hour to check in, person at the desk was very confused about everything.

Pros: It was near our destination
Cons: The service. No one really seemed to know what they were talking about. Also the rooms were creepy and old, one lamp had no lightbulb.
The guy at the front desk was absolutely useless... We were put in a handicapped room...

The hotel was under staffed. Check-in took 30 min. We traveled a long way to wait 30 min to check-in. The employee at the front desk apologized but he was answering the phone taking reservations & also checking in the people at the front desk. While I am waiting 30 min I started to notice the carpets in the lobby looked terrible then later I find out that all the lobby & halls carpets are being replaced. The hotel is under renovation. No one told me this I read it on a very light sign on our elevator to our room. In very light print. I was not happy but it was too late for us to change hotels we had to go to a meeting. I left one day earlier then originally planned. Also our sofa bed was not made up. I called down to the lobby & it took a long time to get the sheets & blankets for the sofa bed. Our stay at the Ramada was not worth the price we paid & I will not stay at a Ramada again.
