Dixie Creek Bungalows, Not so Tiny, Tiny Home

Dixie Creek Bungalows is located just a half a block from Historic downtown Prairie City. Walking distance from anything you may need while in town. We may not have a view but we have a great cozy environment inside and out for you to enjoy and relax in. Only 15 minutes from the Strawberries and John Day. A great spot when visiting the Painted Hills, Sumpter or just passing through to Joseph or Idaho.

The space
Dixie Creek Bungalow is a Park model size tiny home with many big comforts. Located in the heart of historic Prairie City with the Strawberry Wilderness as a backdrop.
We only use environmentally friendly cleaning products, mostly from Young Living Essential Oils. We are now taking extra precautions and using a hydrogen peroxide based sanitizer after each booking. To help keep us all safe.
This 360 sq ft tiny home is complete and oh so cute and comfy! There is a full bathroom complete with a tub and endless hot water with the tank less water heater. The master bedroom can be closed off from the rest of the house. There is a narrow staircase to the 5' loft where you will find two twin beds and a fun space for games or DVD watching. We have beautiful woodwork throughout and the large shared front deck is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset and BBQ a nice dinner.
We now have WiFi available.

We sleep and seat 4 comfortably, six is possible with the queen hide-a-bed though it makes sitting a tight squeeze.

Guest access
The whole home is yours to enjoy as you wish. Please park in front of the fence on the right side. There is a shared deck and BBQ with Tiny 2.
If you have six people in your party, it will be more comfortable to converse and eat out on the deck.

Other things to note
Tiny 2 which shares the front deck is an extended stay unit normally occupied by seasonal workers. Please be respectful of the 10 PM quiet hour. While your unit has never had a pet inside the other one is pet friendly and please be aware that there may be a dog or cat residing there.
We are conveniently located behind the Washing Well Laundromat and have a rustic historic shed on the property with plenty of parking. OHV and snowmobile trailer parking available on site.

Such a cute outside area. And a very nice inside! It’s so clean and it’s clear the owners really care about their customers. The place comes equipped with everything I’d ever need! I might book a longer stay here someday just because it’s so cozy.

Tiny House Surprise!
My family had never stayed in a tiny house, so this was a first. When we first went on to the house, we immediately loved it! It was so tastefully furnished. Loved the interior design. Everything was so neat and clean. We never wanted for anything. Our only regret was that we didn't have time to stay longer. We hope to come back at some point and stay longer.

lock
The door lock was a challenge. But the AC was appreciated, and it had everything we needed. On Sunday everything was closed, not enough help, or not enough business? Kinda funny. We hiked at Strawberry Mtn, beautiful! Thank you, your little house worked our for our weekend.

PRARIE CITY STAY
I was surprised to see Prarie City so vibrant. I liked the cabin but didn’t like having to strip the bed and run the dishwasher at the end. I paid enough money to have the host take care of it.
