Nevertheless, this hotel just does not meet the normal standards of a Hampton. The thermostat for the heating system either froze us or got so hot that I would have to get up and turn it off in the night. We were only given two towels, which made us dry with wet ones the next morning. The electrical outlets were so loose that our phone chargers kept falling out. The chair at the desk would not elevate, making it useless. Our mattress was so hard and uncomfortable (not a pillow-top). One bed wasn’t finished being made. Pillows were on the floor. Pillowcases lying empty on bed. Sheets were very wrinkled. Switched rooms and second room also had a dirty entry floor as well as a dirty bathroom floor. Obviously not swept. Strangely the fire alarms went off just before 4 am, waking the entire hotel and causing guests to all get up and check if there was a fire.
