"My husband and I wrapped up our vacation in La Barra, and Kala Hotel was absolutely perfect. It was within walking distance to the beach, offering the perfect spot to unwind. The breakfast was delicious, and we were well taken care of by the pool with refreshing wine and snacks. We also took their bikes to ride to José Ignacio, though in the heat, it wasn’t the most comfortable choice. Still, a memorable trip!
Highly recommend!"

"I got the premium room, on the pictures bathroom had glass, and a sofa cama.
When i got there the sofa was a twin bed, (little use for it in my case) and the shower was minimal no more then 90cm * 90cm (im 185-96kg, guy shower was a disaster) with a shower courtain instead of glass ( I don’t like them) curtain keeps getting in the minimal bathroom, developing an overall bad experience on bathrooms.
Bed was ok, fridge on the room is good value. Not as bad of a hotel. Experience in my case was...

"Fantastic property in an excellent location near the beach. Easy walk to Playa Montaya or a quick drive to Playa Bikini, Punta del Este, or Jose Ignacio."

"The staff were very friendly but the restaurant was closed on Sundays which we were not made aware of before. The facilities are clean and comfortable though a bit dated. Really nice indoor heated pool and kids play area. Mosquito coverings on window not well sealed and the mosquitos were vicious…even in the spring. "

"O hotel é antigo, mas muito bem localizado! Cama espaçosa, bons travesseiros, amplo. O banho foi otimo!
Cafe da manhã simples, porém apetitoso.
Certamente, recomendo!"

"Hotel maravilhoso. Café da manhã farto, perfeito. Só fiquei triste porque a piscina externa está em reforma.Mas nada que tirasse o brilho da nossa estadia. Amei a academia também. "
"Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was great and the staff was super sweet and helpful. We also enjoyed the massage and the roof top bar. Great stay!"
"Excellent hotel, very well situated for walking around the peninsula as well as close to both beaches (closer to La Mansa). But its on a quiet street so very quiet for sleeping. The staff is excellent, responsive and very helpful. The rooms are lovely. The safe in my room didn't work and finding the switch for the overhead lights was a slight challenge, but otherwise everything was perfect. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant! Breakfast was excellent, but dinner was also excellent! Fresh vegetables aren't common on many Uruguayan menus, so the fresh salads were especially welcome! "
