"Nice location very quiet "
This is a nice hotel, the rooms are independent cabins if you are obly staying for a night or two it's ok. If not you will not have enough space for luggage. The location is great because it is quiet and even though it's not beach front it is still not far away from everything you might need. One of the features I liked was the littlw fridge in the room where you can keep the drinks or fruit.

"Nice small Cabana directly at the sea."
Nice small cabana with swimming pool, half minute walking to the sea, very quiet, restaurants in walking distance. Beaches empty, nice to swimm. The hospitality of the owner is extraordinary, the studio apartment had a fridge and coffee machine. Parking next to the apartment within the fenced premises.

"Very nice hotel, everyone very friendly"
Hotel Pelicanos was a very nice hotel, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Staff were excellent. Food was good, but I was disappointed not to be given fresh tropical fruit for breakfast daily with the eggs and beans and rice. That would have been one of my favourite parts, especially Papaya, mango and pineapple. Fresh juice would also have been nice. It was a lovely spot. I do suggest a few more chairs to lounge on at the beach area. I would definitely stay and here again and want to sometime in the future. It was also nice to walk down the road and look at the birds and flora early in the am and see how many Scarlett Macaws fly over, especially as there were not many a few years ago I heard! I would have like to be able to know more about the different things to do around there on a more personal basis. Thank you so much for the stay. Lunch and dinner was excellent too with a lovely ambience and a variety of other restaurants were nearby for a change in the evening.

"Clean, quiet, and close."
Had a great stay at Hotel Ibiza last week. I was in Jaco for a music festival called Jungle Jam and decided on this place from the great reviews I had read. They were all pretty accurate, with the best description being that it is a small boutique hotel with a hostel feel. Extremely clean, with a great staff. I met some of the coolest people ever while staying there. As far as safety in a foreign country goes, Jaco has gotten a little rough since my last trip in 2014. I always felt safe at the hotel and even more so after hearing Hugo's background story. GREAT PEOPLE! Thanks Hugo, so nice meeting you and your wife.

Wonderful staff. I wish there were chairs in the room. More importantly, they need to make the taxi folks aware of name change so they know there the hotel is located.

"Nice budget accomodations."
Wonderful people and service. Don't expect a Holiday Inn in the forest, but not bad for a facility that could be modernized a little. Rooms could use blackout curtains, as morning light streams in beginning at 5:30, along with some sound-proofing. The early morning light combined with noise from the nearby kitchen and open-air bar/restaurant setting up for their outstanding free breakfast makes sleeping late impossible. Overall, I give Andre and his staff a thumbs up.

"Great little hotel in the middle of town"
This hotel is probably a 2-3 star if that. It's a bit dated and needs some maintenance. The room had no views and was rather dark, but the place wins stars because of: Location - its right in town and half a block from the beach Staff - they are awesome, very nice and super happy to help and flexible with your plans Food - the restaurant at the hotel is awesome. Locals even recommend it. I had a tuna steak that rocked 3rd parties - they work with a surf shop "Mauricio's" that is awesome if you want to take surf lessons or rent boards Bookings - they had a surf deal when I visited that included surf lessons for ~$20 more. I lesson (or rental) per night stay - awesome deal. Great place to stay with no frills but friendly staff and good service. I also felt safe they have a night watchman and safe box in the rooms. I had a great experience in Jaco and place is a good choice but keep in mind its not a fancy nor amenities filled hotel. Comfort level as far as bathroom and room are clean but dated. Lighting in room was poor but I did not spend too much time the room. Appliances were old. Again not a 4 star place or even 3 but for a 2-3 star hotel with great location and services from staff, 3rd parties and food. I'm coming back to Jaco and most likely book again at the Poseidon Hotel.

"A great place to relax away from the crowds"
I decided to spend two weeks at the Cocomar to relax after a liveaboard dive vacation to Cocos Island. Even before I got to the hotel, the manager, Chad, was so helpful in answering my questions and helping me to arrange transportation to the hotel from the dock, saving me hours of time traveling back and forth. While I ended up NOT getting a rental car to sightsee all over, Chad said he could arrange for a rental car to be delivered to the hotel. I decided just to spend the time at the beach and reading by the pool. I did indulge in a relaxing in-room massage...twice! I had a fabulous spacious one bedroom suite, which was really an apartment, with a full kitchen, living area, dining area and two lanais. The staff even did my laundry. I was able to get into the town to buy groceries when needed, or I could give Chad a list and it would be taken care of. The (complimentary) breakfasts at the restaurant were tasty and entertaining, watching the nearby iguanas interact. The beach is just across the small dirt road and is so private and perfect to watch the sun melt into the sea. You could walk it probably for miles. The highlight of my stay was the Monkey Mangrove Tour nearby, where we were on a small boat and were able to spend time with the monkeys, even having them perch on our shoulder to lick smashed banana off our palm. I felt totally spoiled during my time at Cocomar. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning.
