"We stayed a week at Casa Luz and enjoyed it to the fullest! The first morning we awoke to a troop of squirrel monkeys, some with babies, on the deck. Their antics were delightful even when one took a dip in the swimming pool. We enjoyed bird watching, seeing toucans, scarlet macaws and many other beautiful birds. "We really enjoyed our stay at Alta Vista. Our villa was well-equipped and spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were separate bathrooms (with showers) for each bedroom, which was really convenient. The highlight was the gorgeous sunsets over the Pacific that we watched each evening from our private plunge pool. We grew fond of the brightly colored pair of scarlet macaws living nearby (and frequently flying over us). What could be more "pura vida" than that?"

"We really enjoyed our stay in the king suite. The proximity to the main drag and view from the unit were amazing. We really liked Aqua Azul, Emilio’s and Quepoa restaurants. The Vila was well furnished. The only issues we had were construction noise and occasional smell of sewage near the pool, which resolved after they pumped. We would highly recommend this villa!"

"The hotel was great. Stayed in a Signature Bungalow for 5 nights. Great location. Breakfast was good. 5 or 6 options on the menu. Good coffee, juice & water. The staff made the stay great. Especially Robert and Moy. My only complaint was the check in process we arrived from San Jose by car 3.5 hour drive. Arrived at the Hotel at 2pm, check in is 3pm. The young woman working reception told us that the bungalow was still being cleaned.. which was not true, I walked over and looked. No early check in. Unbelievable! The hotel was not booked plenty of vacancy. Slow rainy season. Reception made us wait until after 3 to check in. Never offered to take are bags and store them while we explored town. My opinion is reception needs better customer service skills/people skills. Reception is the first people you typically meet at a hotel. Further, there are sooo many places to stay in Manual Antonio. "
