"A characterful converted cow shed with roof beams, but decorated in a modern way with all you need, and a free jug of milk.The bed was comfortable, and there was a wet room shower.I could not see any way to open a window, which I would have liked, and the Wifi only worked in half the room, which I mentioned to the owner.We were welcomed and again had goodbye said to us as we left, which was friendly.We prefer a separate bed room as one of us gets up very early, but it was OK for one night.A...

"Nicely put together house. Handy for Oakham town centre, shops, pubs etc. 20 mins to Burghley House. Comfy beds. However, please do provide guests with a bit more info about what’s what in the house…A long mirror in the double room and a loo brush in the bathroom would be useful additions"

"Just came back from our bank holiday weekend break with our two dogs, beautiful place. lots of places say they are dog friendly and aren’t but this one definitely is. Enclosed garden, nice walks in the area and places to eat (loved the extra touch of a binder with local places near by to choose our walks) it is very spacious for a one bedroom, and the bed was out of this world comfortable! We would definitely stay again 🫶🏻"

"Had a lovely 2 night stay in this lovely cottage, set in a lovely friendly village with a great pub within walking distance from the cottage.The owner left us a lovely welcome pack for us and our 2 cocker spaniels which was greatly appreciated .Would definitely recommend, and we will definitely come back."

"The Stables is located on a lovely quiet, country lane in a quiet village, but this is ideal for a good de-stress. In the cooler times of year it's wise to plan meals, shopping etc, as townies like me get too used to just popping out, and that could be a chore.The Stables is gorgeous, compact and cosy, and very well appointed. The bed and bedroom was comfy and we slept very well, and there was plenty of storage for a week stay. The shower is an over bath type, with a great rainforest shower....
