The location was convenient. Some restaurants were nearby, one being the best ramen I had. There was a 711 about 2-3 minutes away. The station was about 5 mins away. Was convenient for going to Fushimi Inari and Gion. The Kyoto Station was about 10 minutes away which was fine since we only went twice--once when we came and the second when we left.
Now for the hotel itself, it was clean and quiet. Too quiet to my liking. I had the suite on the 7th floor. It's big for a family of 7. My issue was the fans in the toilet rooms. We couldn't figure out how to turn them off and we'd forget to ask. Also, there were always some kind of noise in the room. The air conditioner by the bed, the ceiling. At one point we heard a really loud sound like if someone fell or something. Sounded like it came from upstairs. I don't know. It was weird. It felt off. I was too tired to care, though, and I slept peacefully. My companion didn't. At one point we really thought it was haunted because of the noise we heard coming from the living room when we were packing in the bedroom. I was spooked as I looked at my companion. They asked if anyone was there. I went to look and saw plastic on the floor. It fell from a filled up bag haha. Not a bad hotel but I wouldn't come back myself. The free shuttle to the Golden Pavilion was nice, though.
