“Avoid this place unless you have your own transportation. It’s literally in the middle of nowhere, and there are no ride options in this city no joke. There is one driver for Bolt, but he only works evenings, NO Grab at present. Owner was very much less than helpful in explaining this to us. “Liegt an einem Hang an einem eher felsigen Küstenabschnitt. Man kommt aber in Minuten zum Sandstrand. Die Bungalows mit Meerblick sind über Treppen erreichbar.Sehr freundliches und sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Entgegen hotels.com keine tägliche Zimmerreinigung, auch nicht wöchentlich, und kein kostenloses Mineralwasser. Die große Refillflasche kostet aber nur 15 Baht. Eine Tasse Selbstbedienungskaffee 35 Bhat. Die Saison ist kurz auf Koh Chang. Deshalb sind die allgemein höheren Preise wohl……

![Hello from Paradise! We have started our little Island Hopping Adventure in the South of Thailand. First stop: Koh Phayam. A quiet Island which still has a true 'in the middle of nowhere' feel to it. I can count the people around me in two hands. Never been to such an empty beach before. It's lovely! Also very pleased with our accommodation: open-air shower and a huge hammock big enough for two on our veranda. Just swam in the ocean for nearly an hour - the water temperature is divine!! Looking forward to a very relaxed few days on this picture perfect Island!

![A floating lantern (khom loi) just about to lift off.  Chiang Mai is well-known for its famous Yi Peng Festival during which thousands of these lanterns are released into the night sky.
