Positive - Downtown. Negative - by the train tracks and I heard every train come through. No safe in the room and the Safety Deposit Box at reception was inconvenient. No reason not to have a safe in the room. The Lounge was positive and negative. The food and staff were great. The negative is no paper menus so seniors with no phone or have trouble seeing on a phone are made to stand in front of the restaurant to read a menu on the wall. There were several of us who had to endure this humiliation. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was very good as well. Service was quick as we got there close to closing so they wanted us served and out of there pretty quick.

Bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. Hair (not from someone’s head) was in the shower and drain along with heavy soap residue. Called front desk and they sent 2 people up to clean it. Still had to wipe away a hair from the shower wall. Made me not want to use the shower

I booked this hotel based on the location and the unique design of the rooms. I arrived 30 minutes before check in and went in to see if I could park in the lot and walk around the area until official check in time. I was pleasantly surprised that my room was ready and was able to check in right away. The room was clean and had a mini fridge. The walls are a little thin but I stayed mid week and had quiet neighbors so it wasn't a problem. The front desk offers ear plugs if noise is a concern. I stayed for 3 nights and the room was cleaned well each day. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly when I needed a new room key. The negatives were that there was a lightning strike and one of the elevators didn't work so it could take a while to get up to the room or go down to the lobby and someone left dirty dishes outside my room and they sat there for more than 12 hours. Based on what I saw and experienced in Rapid City and surrounding area, all the businesses are short staffed so this isn't unexpected. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would book the hotel again.

The floor was dirty - it didn't appear to have been vacuumed and there was a dirty q-tip on the floor. The bathroom sink drained very slowly because the stopper was damaged.

The restaurant and bar is a nice addition and it’s convenient to downtown. The AC is very loud and not very cold, it had problems getting below 70 degrees. Also, not having a mini fridge or microwave was a big let down.

Clean, interesting environs. We enjoyed our visit. There was a slight misunderstanding and we expected to at least have coffee in the morning. What was provided with the room was definitely not on par with the rest of the facility. Gas stations do better.
