Rapids Water Park
Rapids Water Park is South Florida’s biggest water park and features 35 exciting water slides ranging from adrenaline-pumping speed slides to a lazy river. This action-packed water park stretches over 30 acres (12 hectares) and includes a wave pool, dual seven-story slides and a 0.25-mile (0.5-kilometer) river for tubing.
Enjoy a full day out with family or friends, trying rides that are grouped under categories the Biggest Thrill, Coolest Thrill and Wettest Thrill. Take a wild trip on Big Thunder, an enormous slide that plunges riders down a thrilling 45-degree drop before sending them sliding through a zero-gravity funnel. Go tubing through 360-degree loops and bends and splash through 1,000 feet (300 meters) of tunnels on Tubin’ Tornadoes. For a change of pace, grab a tube and relax on the Lazy River, a long and winding ride that meanders through the water park. Cruise under cool mists and fountains before splashing through waves and a waterfall.
Take a break at the Rapids Water Park snack bars and Big Surf Café. Rent a personal cabana and enjoy a private escape from the excitement of the water park. Chill out on a loveseat and enjoy refreshments delivered to your door.
Rapids Water Park caters for all ages and swimming abilities. Lifeguards are on watch at all times and little ones can splash around in a wading pool or take advantage of the free personal floatation devices provided.
The park is located in Riviera Beach, approximately 8 miles (13 kilometers) from downtown West Palm Beach. Tickets include access to all rides and tubes and are valid for a whole day so you can leave the park with a stamp and return after lunch. Admission is cheaper on weekdays and discount “sunset special” tickets are available in the afternoons. The water park is open daily during the warmer months but opening times change from month to month. Parking is available on site for a fee.
