First night I was welcomed and breakfast was lovely. However after returning from a wedding at 8.30pm the pub was in darkness. I went to my room and slept, on going down the next morning, I could not find anyone. I rang the bell called by phone and shouted. After waiting for several minutes I wrote a note and left for my journey back to Heathrow. My room was cold, no heating and the TV didn't work. Thankfully I had my IPad. I don’t like writing poor reviews but had no choice as nobody was around to discuss my issues. I won’t be going back. The pub is lovely but think they should forget about offering B&B unless they can improve. Ended up with a Mars Bar for breakfast.
Spent two great days at this B&B. It's off the main highways in a small village environment. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. We had a warm welcome from the staff, who were helpful, friendly and made our stay relaxing. The room was large, clean and stocked with tea, coffee and water. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet at night. The breakfast bun was amazing, the bacon and sausage tasted great.
We had an evening meal which was also prepared and cooked well. I had home made Pizza (loads of toppings to choose from) and my wife had an amazing burger. All in all a great stay.
Really Recommend this establishment, and I hope we've back again soon.
Check in was awful. Seemed to be ignored by staff and once in room was full of spiders.TV not working and staff didn't know how to sort. Terrible WiFi reception almost non existent. Breakfast service terrible having been asked what time I wanted it no one around for at least 20 mins
Hotel was great but on your website it said it had a restaurant but didn't say it's shut Mon and Tues but luckily they was expecting a group of runners and was doing chips for them so offered to do me a burger and chips (had no choice) the breakfast was supposed to be at 8 30am ( I was the only guest that night) but was down at 8 20am and waited till 9am and still nobody came so left the pup with no breakfast very disappointed apart from that every thing was ok except the £15.50 for the burger
Despite some minor challenges with sorting our check-in, Kordian (B&B owner/manager) more than made up for it with his warm & friendly welcome and making us feel right at home. The room was clean and very comfortable and the fry up in a bap for breakfast was impressive! Thanks for making our trip that bit more fun : )
Lovely little b n b in its great staff. Room was clean and comfy. We were going to a concert at Englefied house. Got an uber there. We were told by the bar staff that they would be open until midnight for our return so that we could have a drink before bed but in our return the lad behind the bar told us they had closed at 10-45pm and we couldn’t have one even although we had a tab and were staying there. In the morning the owner done our breakfast and he was a pleasure to deal with. All in all I would return and stay again but would triple check closing time of the bar
Amazing little country pub with B&B and a freshly cooked breakfast included.
The staff are warm friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable.
Great stay, great place.
Advertised to have the option to 'unwind at the bar or restaurant' - neither of which were serving food the night I stayed. Also advertised as having a 'cooked to order breakfast' - all that was available was 2 types of cereal in their boxes, some yoghurts and some berries, still in their plastic supermarket containers. The staff were lovely and despite my room not being ready due to a glitch with the cleaner, my stay was ok. The room was hot, the bed had a thick, feather duvet on it and only a small fan to keep cool.
I've stayed at the 6 bells a couple of times and it is my favorite place to stay if I'm working in the area. Great food (the Pizza's are amazing), great staff and a beautiful location.
The hosts were extremely welcoming, hospitable and helpful. I had a clean and comfortable room and excellent breakfasts. This is a very pleasant village location.
Absolutely fantastic stay at the Six Bells in the lovely village of Beenham. Great staff and a friendly welcome. Decent clean rooms with en suite and a hot shower. Plenty of free on site parking. Great food and one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Great range of beers and spirits too. Would highly recommend.
For my short stay all was well. The menu was a little limited for my chosen diet. Great value for money with an included breakfast. Clean and tidy. ALL staff seemed happy and I was made very welcome. Parking is good too. A nice quiet country location with a lovely view from my window. Facilities very good and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend The Six Bell if asked.
