Sinclares Resort is such a gem! The entire property is meticulously maintained and nicely decorated with beautiful landscaping. The premium room is spacious and bedding is clean and comfortable. They provide you with a heater during winter time so the room is plenty warm. The best part is the hot shower which is so much better compared to other equally expensive hotels we stayed across India. You can take a really comfortable shower without worrying about the hot water running out in the middle...

The hotel is decorated with high-end art pieces and provides a calming Zen experience from beginning to end. The staff were all very hospitable and helpful - the only aberration was we found a baby stroller in the room after our return from a side trip, and we did not ask for it. The WiFi signal was patchy. Great location and about 15 mins walk to the town center. We booked the Heritage rooms which had an old world charm with great views. The service was excellent and the staff extremely hospitable. Overall, a really good stay.

If you want to cut yourself off from everything for a few days this would be a place to go.

Vivanta Sikkim is one more jewel in the beauty of Sikkim. Place is nicely designed and well decorated but above all has the extraordinary staff who’s willing to go above and beyond to make the experience memorable. After I had to change hotels I chose to come to the Yangthang Heritage. Not only did the accept my last minute booking but also prepared a room immediately. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful with painted carvings throughout and is only a short walk to the market road. The dining was very good. The true highlight of my stay was the service. The service was exceptional and above and beyond anywhere I've stayed. If my travels ever return me to Gangtok the Yangthang...

A beautiful heritage property located in a walkable, partial steep walk to pedestrianised shopping area with bars and restaurants, amazing views all around. Expect minor property age related issues and facilities. Excellent service from local based employees. Good food and lovely and friendly people.

We had an amazing 2 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a very quiet part of town near the Secretariat building and across the street from the former king’s palace complex. We were told that the building was a guest house for royal guests. The building has 5 floors and each floor has 4-5 rooms, all with a view of the mountains. We stayed at the top floor with access to the terrace. Be aware that there is no elevator. The staff was very friendly and nice. There are no eating places nearby...

Spotlessly clean room. Heater was brought to us immediately, since it is cool in January. Hotel staff were endlessly polite and helpful. Fantastic breakfast with pancakes, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, jam and toast. Altogether a lovely hotel with beautiful views of the mountains and valleys in my favorite part of India. Hoping to come back again!
