"The hotel is undergoing refurbishment, so they are attending to some much needed improvements. Breakfast has so much potential but was really poor. One plate sent back after staff failed to enquire about allergies. Another plate was served cold (literally cold). "

"Had a wonderful two night stay in this amazing 'home'. Warm, very clean, very comfortable and cannot think of anything I would change ....other than the length of our stay!!We booked for a family gathering for my son's wedding at Elmore Court which worked perfectly ( the groomsmen were able to join us at the house for dressing on the day). All of our needs were covered and communicating with David and Claire ( many congratulations to you both on the new baby girl) was excellent. I enjoyed the compliments from my family on my choice of accommodation. Perfect!! Thanks for all your hospitality ( and for quickly updating us to inform us of something we had left behind - we were able to return to collect)."

"Loved the property, beds were delightfully comfortable and property was super warm. Reasonably well equipped though was missing enough pods and some basics. Smelt a bit weird in some spaces but overall a lovely stay and looks exactly like the photos. The location was excellent too - so good to be right in the heart of it all."

"Perfectly located for walking and 10 minute drive to Stroud where there are numerous restaurants and local shops. Farmers market is worth a visit. Accommodation was delightful and well equipped. Very comfortable with excellent WiFi and amenities. Enclosed secure gravel garden for dogs and outdoor seating. Perfect"

"The Chairman’s Retreat is a beautiful, very well appointed home. Four very pleasant bedrooms, with lovely, fresh, crisp, bed linens. The kitchen is superbly equipped, and has a fabulous cooking range with a couple of ovens, grill, and warming drawer. The views of Frith Woods and the Slad Valley are breathtaking. Chris and Suzanne were very welcoming, and Chris was so helpful (and a great baker to boot. His home-made flapjacks were delicious). They stocked up the ‘fridge with supplies for our first night, and breakfast. Very much appreciated.Thank you so much to you both for being fabulous hosts."
