"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gastof Post! As a family of 5 (2 adults travelling with 3 teenagers) it is not easy to find accommodations where we can all be together, but our room was perfect! While not directly in the walled part of town, it isnât even 10 minutes walk to get there, and it kept us out of some of the hustle and bustle. There is a lovely restaurant as well attached to the hotel.
If you have mobility concerns, it may not be the best option, as there is no elevator, but that fact was well advertised so we knew ahead of time that we would be climbing stairs, and that wasnât a problem for us.
Very clean, HUGE bathroom in room 33. An excellent and affordable option!"
"It was pouring rain when we arrived which was a bit challenging due to some street construction nearby. The staff member offered me an umbrella and even stood in a parking spot right out front for us so I didn't have to!
Staff gave us recommendations for dining which we used and enjoyed an incredible meal in a 9th century building.
The rooms were outstanding, and touches like having artifacts under plexiglass in the floor was unique. All around fabulous stay. "
"Amazing, atmospheric place. Beautifully laid out to keep the feel of a fortified manor.
My only disappointment was the bed. My room had two singles pushed together, which is fairly normal in Germany. However these were two narrow wooden beds, with the frames higher than the mattress. Whilst the style was in keeping with the room, the actual sleeping space was limited, and I kept kicking the frame during the night. Mattress was comfortable though."

"I loved how it was right in the village. The staff was so friendly! The room was smaller, but I was alone and itâs all that I needed. The bird was comfortable and TV worked. They even gave me a bottle of water. The windows were new and I was able to open them. It was nice. They had a fan in the room as well. I love the outside patio! I would definitely go back."

They offered parking, but we'd already parked in a public lot, but it seemed convenient. Breakfast was good. Our shower wasn't the best. Had to hold the shower head, as there wasn't anywhere to hang it high enough to use it hands free. But it got the job done. Wish we'd stayed another night it was so pleasant."

The room was great we were on the third floor so going up and down the stairs was hard on my pregnant wife but once up there we had a view to one of the towers from the room. There is no ac so if it is hot during your stay that is something to consider. We had the window open all night and it was perfect temperature. Would definitely stay here again.
