The property was absolutely beautiful- with fantastic light and incredible sunset views. The neighborhood was bustling and charming. We would happily book (and probably will) this apartment again.Thank you, Alberto, for a wonderful stay.
Alberto was so helpful for us when we needed him unexpectedly. He arranged for an airport transfer with a private company when the public transportation strike was announced. We had a lovely place to call home and a stress free departure. Trastevere is full of great restaurants and a short walk across the river to ancient Rome sights.
We had a lovely stay. Apartment is spacious, full of character with all amenities and in a great location. Comfortable beds, good shower. Rome is a unique place.
This was a charming place. It was about a 20-30 minute walk to the Colosseum and an easy cab ride to the Vatican. There were lots of places to eat right around the corner. Great location!
My family of four stayed here for five nights in July. It was important to us to have air conditioning, a great kitchen to cook in, an outdoor space to enjoy in the evenings, a washing machine, plenty of space for each person to relax, and within walking distance to all of the sites. This apartment had all of that plus more! Alberto was very responsive and a wonderful host. The apartment is so bright and colorful…with beautiful and fun artwork! We had some of our best meals in the neighborhood. We could easily walk right over the bridge and all the major sites were right there. It was the perfect place for my family to stay and we have many great memories from this trip!
We spent a lovely few days on the quiet side of the river, literally steps from several excellent trattorias. The area is quieter than you might expect, but very close to Ponte Pallatino from which you can access all the major attractions.
I recommend it to anyone traveling with family or a small group.
Can’t express how great this stay was. Right in trastavere, this spot had everything we needed and tons of space. If I owed an apartment in Rome I would want this one. My one very small complaints is that the beds are not the most comfortable but otherwise this was a great stay!
Alberto was a great host. Quick replies to any queries. Spacious apartment for family in a great location. However listed as 3 bathrooms which is not entirely correct. The second double bedroom has a very small 1m X 1m wetroom with toilet, shower with very slow drainage and tiny basin. There is no door to the wetroom.Overall, a great place to stay in Rome..
ALL GOOD. I would recommend this to anyone. The owner/manager was very helpful and even made us dinner reservations. The place was interesting and comfortable. Highly recommend.
Very quirky and interesting with some great art. Plenty of room and very clean. Great location and easy to get to all the main attractions.
The host was very helpful and always on hand for queries. We would defintely come back
This was the perfect apartment in the perfect location for our family vacation in Rome. Our host did everything to make us feel organized and comfortable. The kitchen is fantastic and the artwork is even better! The views are spectacular and the selection of restaurants in the neighbourhood is exceptional. What a treat!
Really well located quirky boho apartment with great walking access to all the main sites and surrounded by great restaurants and bars in Travestere. Very attentive, responsive and helpful host too. Now officially our second favourite place in Italy after Venice! A wonderful experience, will definitely go again if we can.
Worth noting that bathrooms are really wet rooms and that the AC is located in lounge room and kitchen, not in any of the bedrooms.
We stayed for a week, one couple, and a friend, and the apartment was hugely spacious for us.
We enjoyed the huge kitchen overlooking the Trastevere rooftops, and the terrace was perfect for some antipasto with an apertivo.
The location is fantastic, with Trastevere outside your door, the river across the road, and the Roman Forum like a 10 minute walk away.
But the heros for us were really the views from all the huge windows and the terrace - we couldn't get enough.
The apartment was nice and bright with a great view from the living room and kitchen.
The location was very convenient, an easy walk to the many restaurants in Trastevere but a quiet area.
Alberto has made the check in process very easy and he was quick to respond to a minor issue.
The showers in the bathrooms are not contained, but the squeegees made it easy to clean up.
It’s clear Alberto lives in the apartment throughout the year, it has a very lived-in feeling and felt like home right away.
I cannot say enough about this fabulous apartment! It was the perfect location for my family and I. Right in the heart of the most charming neighborhood Trastevere full of wine and cocktails and cafes and restaurant's and flowers and charming people. You can walk to all the things but it’s only a short cheap Uber or taxi as well. The apartment was clean and delightfully charming. Very comfortable. The view from every window was lovely. You can even see the Vatican from the living room window. Super easy check in and check out. Owner was super responsive. I would stay here again and again
This lovely apartment was perfect for our 5-day stay in Rome. It was very comfortable, spacious, and clean and had an eclectic old-world charm that allowed us to feel like we were actually living in Rome (not just visiting). It is centrally located, and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit, including the ancient sites and the Vatican and St. Peter’s. Alberto was very responsive and helpful when we had questions, and he provided well-organized written information, illustrated with pictures. Quaint streets with restaurants, shops,
ATMs and a little grocery were right around the corner. Great views from the kitchen and living room windows of rooftops in the Trastevere neighborhood were a bonus. We highly recommend this apartment!
Beautiful, spacious, bright, quiet apartment, perfect for our family of 5. Amazing views of Trastevere rooftops from windows and spotlessly clean.
Alberto was on hand at all times and made the check in process extremely easy, down to booking our transport from the airport right to the door with a very friendly driver. He also forwarded detailed instructions on the keys/ doors, apartment info, wifi and advice on where to eat etc. Most organised host ever 😀 was on hand at all times, thank you!
Apartment was beautifully decorated, full of colour, artistic details and personality.
Roof terrace was accessed via jacobs ladder steps so might be challenging for older guests, but lovely to have a little outdoor space.
Three bathrooms were great, main shower was perfect, walk in ensuite shower bit difficult to control so we mostly used the main one.
All together a wonderful stay, we all loved the apartment and location, just around the corner from Da 'Enzo and tiny cafes and artisan pastries.
Grazie mille Alberto 🙏
This apartment is an ideal retreat for a couple looking to relax and enjoy the charm of Trastevere and the broader wonders of Rome. It’s spacious, full of light and fresh air, and beautifully decorated with artwork and books that give it a warm, personal feel. The second bedroom is perfect if you’re traveling with a guest, and all of the furniture is very comfortable. The apartment features excellent WiFi, a high-quality flatscreen TV, and a great sound system. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook when we wanted to stay in. Large windows throughout offer stunning views of Rome and swing open to let in abundant sunlight and refreshing breezes.Though we visited in April and didn’t need to use the A/C or heat, the climate inside was perfect. The apartment is on the sixth floor, accessible by elevator, which made coming and going easy. The location is quiet yet central—Trastevere’s vibrant restaurants are just steps away, and the historic city center is just across the river. All major sites are within walking distance; we averaged five miles a day exploring on foot. The Forum and Colosseum are less than half a mile away, and taxis or Ubers are easy to find if you want to venture farther. We’ve stayed in many VRBOs, and this is truly one of the best. Our host, Alberto, was wonderful—responsive, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about his home. He has created a beautiful space in Trastevere, and we’re so grateful to have experienced it. Thank you, Alberto!
We just got back from 7 nights in Rome and cannot say enough good things about our stay and our host - Alberto! We had planned this trip and paid for the apartment back in March 2020, but then the pandemic hit a week before our travel dates. Amazingly, Alberto offered to honor our payment for a trip in the future. After 4 years of trying to free up our calendar, we finally made it happen and it was worth the wait.
I cannot remember a time when I found a place that was better in person than the pics on the listing, but this place was! Funky artwork, lots of space, big windows looking out over Trastevere, a legit espresso machine…you could not ask for more. But then we discovered the neighborhood around it. Within a 5 min walk, you can find more bars and restaurants than you can visit. If that isn’t enough, you can get to major sites like the Forum, Jewish Ghetto or the Coliseum within 15-20 mins. Alberto was always available with suggestions when we needed them. He even coordinated our car ride from the airport.
Bottom line - if you want to relax and enjoy Rome, you should book Alberto’s place!
I looked at all the reviews for Alberto’s Vrbo apartments and decided on his for the size and location. I have been to probably over 25 countries and his place clearly tops the list. My wife and I have a passion for antiques and his eclectic
home, with stunning views and a simple artistry decor was a perfect match for us. The size of the apartment is massive in comparison to Roma hotels.
The location in Tresterve was a perfect jumping off point for walking to all major sites to see and the few times we did catch a taxi, it never exceeded 15eu. One of the other good things about the location is after a long day of touring some of the best restaurants in Roma are right around the corner. A small highlight was, we were able to use the wash
machine and hang our on the top outside line which entailed coming home with clean.
Some guess have commented on the shower and the water spray. One suggestion, don’t turn it on full force and we used the mop to wipe the excess water. The other small challenge is garbage disposal which is only a block away. Another must try is the boat ride across the street on the Tiger river. I have not stayed in many Vrbo’s but surely Alberto’s is in a class all to it’s self.
In closing, you can tell by my review my wife, granddaughter and I truly enjoyed our stay in Roma, but it was more enjoyable to have a comfortable home in Roma to come home to. I believe you get the true Rome experience by living with the locals.
Thanks again Alberto.
