However the toilet seat in our room was broken and it was very hot making it difficult to sleep which was a shame as the bed was so comfy! A fan in the room would have made a big difference. The few rooms they have are all named so you know which room you will be getting when you book. We had the Gold Room and it was so lovely! A lady behind the bar greeted us and showed us to our room. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant menu looked amazing but we.had promised ourselves fish and chips on the beach. The beach was a few minutes walk from the The Ship Inn so it was a perfect evening. In the morning, when we came down to breakfast, we were greeted by the chef who took our cooked breakfast order. He was very chatty and helpful. The building has lovely windows, with light and views coming in from all angles. The room was lovely and spacious with the bathroom upstairs. All the staff we came across were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given the option to put any food and drink purchased at the bar and restaurant and pay for everything at the end of our stay. The only thing that could be improved was the bed, I think the mattress could have been better. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant which was delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast the next morning was also great. Felt the bathroom needed more shelving for storage. Also the wardrobe only had 2 hangers to hang clothes on which did not worry us as we were only staying a few days but would have been a problem if we were staying longer.
