We had a lovely stay at VR Rotorua. The staff were amazing, friendly, and always happy to help. The lake view was beautiful and definitely a highlight of our stay. The only thing that could be improved is the condition of the property, as it could do with some upgrades and modernisation. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the excellent service from the staff.

The property is in a lovely location, according to host the property will be undergoing renovation soon which is much needed. The staff were welcoming, cleanliness could be better, the windows were dirty, snd as you are looking out to the view, these should be kept clean. The room was spacious, and the bed comfortable.

The king size bed was brilliant. The privacy issue between the living bed room and bathroom was appalling. Open wall with a wooden slate blind which in itself was wonky. Dated decor. No elevator. First room shown had a broken shower door. Staff were obliging but working with an outdated hotel. Could be a lovely venue but needs upgrade.

We loved the setting, beautiful view of the lake, very calm and peaceful. The hotel facilities and room are definitely a bit run down and in need of maintenance, dinner in the restaurant was delicious.

It is a wonderful location ,quiet and peaceful. I have stayed several times and will stay again. I think that the maintenance team need to sort a few issues in Rm 203. The toilet roll holder kept falling apart. The towel rack was also not attached properly, and the bifold shutters between the bedroom and bathroom was falling off. I think the reception staff are great and the general room cleanliness is very good. The setting of the hotel is fabulous.
