"We had a really bad experience at Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale. The service in the restaurant was among the worst we have seen in all our life. In the end when paying the bill the guy had the cheek to ask us we wanted to sign a separate bill for the tip as he could not add the tip to the main bill! We firmly and politely said no. That experience just ruined our whole stay and we cannot give any better marks than what we have done. We would appreciate it if the hotel could reply and include an e-mail address to a manager to whom we can send a more detailed feedback of our experience."

"Used this as a one night lay over place , quite centrally located , just a few minutes walk from the river . Hotel is quite modern , clean and functional, as was the small double room we had, the bed was comfortable and the shower water was hot . Overall it was an ok cheap , clean one night stop with no frills ! "

"The room was large and well kept, the public areas were also spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. It is a few minutes walk from the cathedral and well situated. The restaurant food was great. Overall a lovely relaxing stay, we would stay again in a heartbeat."
