"Had a great two nights stay...we were given a room upstairs at the back which was nice and quiet..the en suite was a little tight but clean...the bedroom was compact but nicely laid out...the range of teas/coffee including hot chocolate and biscuits are a lovely touch... bathroom range of soap/shampoo/lotions are of good quality...had a great stay.. will be back... "The property was clean, had great shower with nice hot water. Lots of extra snacks in room. No elevator, lots of stairs, you are able to keep luggage by checkin in a separate room. Has a great restaurant in it, food was amazing and the staff was friendly. This hotel is Within 5 minutes from cruise port "

"Although we appreciate we were not in an assisted bedroom we would have appreciated a handle on the wall to aid getting in and out of the bath. This was a comment from my husband who is not disabled. I was unable to use the shower as I was unable to get in the bath - I am disabled. Anyone who has a disabled blue badge can park for free on the car park behind the pub. This saved us £18 per night. The evening meal we had was fantastic, really tasty!. Breakfast was great. "

"Greeting by staff was a bit muddled as one person started, and one person interupted. Room was okay, view onto green, but was above doorway into pub where people came outside to smoke. Bed was a short double so my feet stuck out of end of bed (I am not over 6 feet in height). Steep stairs to rooms."

"We felt very welcome at the Hampshire Hog from the moment we walked through the door. The staff were friendly and efficient and not only seemed to really care about guests but also about each other - they appeared to have the right sort of rapport with each other, making everything run very smoothly."

"Convenient but road is very noisy for a stay in Southampton for St Marys attendance. Bed was a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6'2" but facilities were clean and safe. Good to have free parking and overall about right value for money."

"The hotel was very convenient and close to the seafront. The room was comfortable and it had a walk-in shower which I needed. I also have difficulty with stairs, so I chose the hotel because it has a lift. It also has plenty of parking and the staff were very friendly. Will stay there again next time I visit the Isle of Wight."

"Had to eat earlier than requested because kitchen closed early. Good, though a little expensive, fish and chips. Enjoyed the stay. Room assigned was certainly quirky in a good way. Didn't get chance to drink the complementary beer."
