Had an excellent one night stay. Helpful friendly staff. Clean room, comfortable bed. Was very quiet. Would not hesitate to stay again should the need arise. Lovely food.

Parking just behind the pub, very convenient, warm welcome from staff, large double aspect comfortable room. I appreciated the bath & size of the bathroom, just a few bits of maintenance needed but none to spoil a very pleasant stay.

Lovely inn in a lovely village conveniently located to major towns and linked with a good railway line. Friendly folk run the hotel and a reasonably good selection of beers. Stayed here before and if in the area would stay here again. Only thing to be aware of is that some nights there are special events (quiz night) which may affect the availability of food or change restaurant times.

Lovely room, great staff and pet friendly, which is a big plus for us. The room was well equipped and maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great location with lovely dog walks nearby.

what a lovely place. I had all sort of problems getting there due to train cancellations and ended up driving. It meant that I was going to arrive later than planned, however, I still received such a friendly welcome that it made everything worth while. The hotel is lovely with exceptional staff and I could not recommend staying here highly enough. I will definitely be staying here whenever I am in the area.

Nessuna reception all arrivo, solo un ragazzo che serviva al pub (molto gentile e disponibile). Le camere sono sopra il locale, si accede da una scala stretta e lurida, con la moquette inguardabile. Stessa moquette anche in camera, super sporca. La camera piccolissima, non passava nemmeno la valigia tra il letto e il muro. Se sei allergico alla polvere è la fine…persino l’abat-jour piena di polvere. Le finestre belle grandi e luminose ma con i vetri riparati. La sera il locale chiude presto, sono tornata alle 9.30 dopo cena e ho dovuto aprire la porta nel retro… anche quella con i vetri rotti e riparati con lo scotch. La mattina si lasciano le chiavi nella cassetta perché non c’è alcun servizio di check out. I dintorni molto carini. Peccato
