"Staying at this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. Beautiful, remote location and an amazing staff that treated every guest personally. We were able to place specific breakfast order the night before and specify the time we would eat. The food in the restaurant for dinner was also amazing with both presentation and taste. It is not very close to the village but we loved this aspect of the stay. "

"We stayed in Saas Fee for two nights as part of a trip around Europe, which took us from the UK to housesitting at a friend in Genoa. The Waldhotel Fletschhorn was an undoubted highlight of the trip The setting is just stunning. Saas Fee itself was a revelation, with the glacier looming above it, but the journey to the hotel, in the little electric buggy with it’s very friendly Italian driver, was an amazing further introduction for ourselves and our children. The staff at the hotel could not have been friendlier throughout our stay, showing a personal interest (our son received exam results while we were there for example) . The food was magnificent. We ate in the restaurant one night and had breakfast both days. It’s not cheap (this is an exclusive part of Switzerland after all) but it was pretty sensational. The free access to the ski lifts, which comes as part of the hotel price during the summer, was a very pleasant surprise. We took full advantage. All in all we would fully recommend the hotel both as a romantic getaway but also as a place for (well behaved) children."

"Usually at five-star properties, especially in desirable locations, the cost scales up much faster than what you get. The Capra is an exceptional property: wonderful location, facilities, and service at a very fair price. All the staff are friendly and welcoming; the breakfast is a la carte, but substantial and served quickly; and the common spaces are a great place to be stuck indoors when it rains. The goodie bag at departure is a small touch, but really drives home the property’s commitment to guest experience."

"This is an amazing hotel. Great room friendly owners and workers, amazing location. The breakfast is really good. They even accommodate making fresh eggs and a vegetarian omelette. They let us pick nick in the front garden and even gave a free ride to the bus stop. I would go back 100 times."

A couple of the most well-known and central hotels are the Hotel Marmotte and the Hotel Allalin. If that’s not enough for you, you can also choose from the Hostel Walser and the Sunstar Boutique Hotel Beau-Site Saas-Fee.

The neighborhood of Brig offers 6 hotels. Brig is 11 miles from downtown Saas, and is one of the most commonly visited hotel neighborhoods. Choose from a number of places to base yourself, including the Hotel Ambassador Brig and Hotel Victoria. Travelers will also find some good accommodation in City Centre. This accommodation neighborhood is 12 miles from downtown. Some of the more popular City Centre places to lay your head are the Mont Cervin Palace and Hotel Monte Rosa.

Visitors to the area can jump aboard Gondelbahn Saas-Grund - Kreuzboden, a comfortable and fun way to get around. The FerienArt Resort & Spa and The Dom Hotel are nearby. For an easy trip that allows you the chance to look out on the scenery, hop on Saas-Grund - Kreuzboden Cable Car. The Hotel du Glacier and Hotel Bristol are easy to reach from this spot.

Thrifty travelers can relax. Saas features plenty of low-cost hotels and accommodations. Some good options are the Europa Annex and the Hotel Britannia. More options in the lower price range are the Dom Apartments and the Parkhotel Saas- Fee.

There are a few additional options here. The Haus Colosseo and the Mountain Exposure - Luxury Apartments can be found 11 miles and 12 miles from the center of Saas. 13 miles away stands the Hotel Riffelalp Resort 2222m. The Hotel Firefly is also in this area, 12 miles away.

7 miles from Saas is Graechen, where you can spend the day exploring the Bodu and Staldenried - Gspon. Some of our recommended Graechen hotels and accommodations include the Matterhorn Valley Hotel & Spa Hannigalp and Swiss Family Hotel & Spa Desirée. 7 miles to the west of Saas you'll find St. Niklaus, home to the Hotel Alpina and Hotel Walliserhof. If you're staying in St. Niklaus, a couple of sights worth adding to your itinerary are the Staldenried-Gspon Gondola and Hannigalp Ski Area.
