The hotel, billed as a historic boutique hotel, offers a good cost for the area. As expected from an older building, the hotel has an aged ambiance. I appreciated that the hotel does not clean rooms daily but provides clean towels and garbage removal upon request. Some updates have been made, such as changing the locks on doors, but the craftsmanship on these updates leaves much to be desired. The room itself was clean, though there were grimy spots in the bathroom corners. The most significant downside for me was the pillows, which were flat, hard, and in need of replacement. Modern hotels typically ensure that all bedding is freshly cleaned for each guest; while the sheets seemed clean, I was less confident about the comforter. On a positive note, the mini-split air conditioner in my room worked great. Overall, the hotel maintains its historic charm but is somewhat run down and could benefit from some refreshing updates and attention to detail.

The hotel is a lovely historic building, the rustic lobby all the way up to the sitting area on the 2nd floor to the old fashioned tub in the bathroom made this place better than the modern hotels around. It needed some TLC for sure. In our room 205, there was a small leak in the closet but we never put our stuff in there so our property was fine. I definitely recommend this place. Its within walking distance of several places to eat, and the rover walk is just around the corner.

Cozy and conveniently nestled right on the edge of the Riverwalk area. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the view of the balcony. Room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there next time. Very affordable, especially for what you get. Wish they had better coffee and free water... no pool and no breakfast... they could at least give you a water.....

It is an old building that has been uniquely remodeled inside. It was very clean & always smelled fresh. Parking was very close & easy to get to. Staff was always very friendly & good to help out!

The reason I booked hotel is room safety, However it wasn't true. I specially requested no housekeeping for privacy, they still came in my room, changed towers but no cleaned the bed. I also stolen stuff from my bag. Additionally room smell like old and moldy, bed sheet is also damp.

Hotel was fantastic. Lovely old building beautifully furnished. Parking was easy and cheap and it was so close to Alamo and Riverwalk. Loved it! Also easy to get to and out of San Antonio.

We really enjoyed our stay. Older hotel that has been renovated very nicely. The room was somewhat humid & the carpet (ready for replacement) was kind of damp & yucky...bring your flip flops. Great balcony with views on the back side off street. Parking behind the hotel was $20 & tight...drive your smaller car. We would stay again!

Historic place with great balcony’s! The balcony does not overlook the river, couple blocks to food. Parking was $15/day because they had Christmas lights lowly hanging over the entry of on site parking.
