"The great thing about this hotel are the staff and the location, a short walk from the train station.
The staff is so accommodating and wonderful - they are there to help you with anything you need and are always polite and cheerful.
Rooms are absolutely beautiful and they keep them clean!
I will absolutely be back whenever I go to Reggio Calabria again!
Truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had!

"A very clean and well-situated bed and breakfast type hotel. Hot water and water pressure are excellent. This is the perfect location from which to explore the city on foot. Even the train station and ferry are walkable by anyone in reasonable condition. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. I would definitely stay here again."

Very friendly staff, clean bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms, and fantastic location in the city close to main attractions and good restaurants. Breakfast was simple but good. Hotel and experience was much better than other hotels in the area.

This is a perfect property, even better than 5-star hotels. Imaging hardwood floor bedroom and marble floor/walls bathroom. Everything is so neat and high standard. They also clean every day. You cannot complain about anything!

Domea Superior Rooms was one of the very best hotel rooms we have had the pleasure to visit. The room was gorgeous! Both the room and the bathroom were large, spacious and well equipped and so tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable and all of the linens, towels and pillows were very high end and of exceptional quality. Our owner and host, Domenico, was incredibly kind and generous with information and recommendations. Do not hesitate to book your stay here when you travel to Reggio...

We have been traveling for more than a month, in many fantastic cities in Spain, France, and Italy. Typically at 4 and 5 star hotels. This was a gem, and the value was outstanding. The property-the building, the rooms, the gardens, the views-is spectacular. The restaurant was amazing. Chef Marco was a one man show, and his braciole was unique and innovative while still reminding me of my Sicilian-American family recipe. He also made the delicious Tiramisu at our table, with flair and charm....

The best area to stay in San Gregorio is along the coastline near the town center, particularly around the main piazza and the Lungomare.
This area offers immediate access to the beach and the town's amenities. You'll find a selection of local restaurants, cafes, and shops within easy walking distance. The Lungomare, or seaside promenade, is great for evening strolls with views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
For couples seeking a relaxing retreat, staying in a hotel or villa with sea views along the Lungomare provides a romantic setting. The proximity to local eateries means you can enjoy authentic Calabrian cuisine without needing to travel far.
Families will find the central coastal area convenient due to its direct access to the beach and the presence of gelato shops and casual dining options.
When is the best time to go to San Gregorio?
The best time to go to San Gregorio, Calabria, is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October. These months offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and a more relaxed experience compared to the peak summer.
May and early June are ideal for those who enjoy warm, sunny days great for exploring the coastline and surrounding villages without the intense heat of mid-summer. The sea is beginning to warm up, making it comfortable for swimming, and the natural scenery is particularly lush.
September and early October provide a similar experience with comfortable temperatures, excellent for outdoor activities and enjoying the beaches. The sea remains warm from the summer, and you can often find better deals on accommodations and fewer people at popular spots.
