“Beautiful setting, but disappointing service for a 4-star hotel. The hotel has a beautiful location, a stunning view over western Sicily and pleasant facilities. Unfortunately, the overall experience was far below what we expected from a 4-star property. We were told at reception that the tap water was not drinkable, but there was no clear warning in the bathroom or near the tap. When we asked for free drinking water, we were told the only options were paid bottles from the minibar or……

“What an amazing property! The views and grounds were spectacular. We had a lovely room. Staff were extremely helpful, carrying luggage and arranging a taxi to our next stop. We had a delicious sandwich for lunch. The wine paired seafood dinner was exceptional! It checked all the boxes of a fine resort and their wines are outstanding.”

They have one area for improvement: no wine glasses, no tea and no coffee in the room. Another problem is that I suspect their Wi-Fi is hacked. When I first made the reservation and communicated with them in March. I received a scammer message pretending the property asking me to provide identification information. “Io e la mia bambina abbiamo trascorso un bellissimo breve soggiorno presso Villa Carlo Resort. Il personale è molto gentile è disponibile, le stanze molto curate e pulitissime. Lo spazio esterno con la piscina è molto bello e ci sono numerosi spazi in cui potersi godere l'esterno. La colazione è molto ricca e varia, con buffet di pietanze dolci e salate e frutta di stagione. Torneremo sicuramente.”
