"Breakfast was below expectation, I noticed they have trimmed back on the buffet choices…they did not even serve bananas. On the hot plates, they used to serve a great sausage, that is no longer available. I had a difficult time finding a platter I could enjoy."

"Property is expansive and immaculately maintained. In the off season it felt as if we had rented the entire beautiful property. Lots of walking and stairs — be warned. Everyone very eager to assist and please. Food is fine but unimaginative and ridiculously expensive. Cocktails are great, but still priced for NYC."

"Wonderful hot springs. Exceeded my expectations. And that view?? Unforgettable. Breakfast was FABULOUS. The only thing is that I could hear my neighbors pretty clearly and the excursions were pricyy (but I think still worth getting because they were easily accessible and so fun!). Overall, a great stay!"

"The staff is always very helpful, cheery and accomodating. Checkin is always a breeze, the shuttle for the Gastronomic Route is efficient and reliable to take us to quality food options (rePUBlic is a favourite) and the breakfast is healthy, plentiful and well cared for by the staff (Minor was a kind and caring manager of the food and gave us nice insights into the various fruits available). Bravo team Alajuela HI."
