However we were cold, even with the heat running a lot. Lots of cold coming in through the doors.There was a blackout for a few hours on the second day, which did not help the situation. We understand that is not the owner fault. But when we realized after the electricity was restored, that we had no hot water to shower, we were offered no solution by the manager. There is a lot to love about this quirky cabin. The Grayton shuttle makes this location more desirable as they pick you up and drop you off right across the street. The drivers are friendly and helpful - a wonderful service. I’m not giving a 5 star bc the kitchen is lacking and so is lighting on the back porch. The washer and dryer are outside making it difficult to do laundry in the dark or in the rain- the only time i want to do laundry. If you don’t plan to cook or do laundry on your holiday (i hope you don’t) this there is not a thing wrong with this gem! Being in this super cute cottage and walking to the beach and local restaurants for quick food or live music was easy and ideal. The additional outdoor shower was a bonus for in-between beach trips.
