Guest booking must be staying in the home\* Starfish Cottage is the perfect home for a family and friends get-away. We are 5-6 minute walk to the beautiful white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The neighborhood pool is 1-2 minutes walk from the house. The home features two master suites(one up and one down) with room for up to 10 people. Bikes included with rental. The space Starfish Cottage 30A is a 4 bedroom 3 ½ bath beach house built in 2014\. The home is located in beautiful Blue Mountain Beach Florida. Starfish Cottage is located in the upscale Lakeside at Blue Mountain Beach neighborhood right off 30A. The home has a great open concept floor plan. The large open den and kitchen are perfect for entertaining and family meals. The upstairs master suite opens onto a private porch with beautiful views of the surrounding neighborhood. The main level porch is great for relaxing and entertaining. This house is perfect for 2 families to share and can easily sleep 10 people. The home features two master suites (one upstairs, and one down), both with king size beds. The master baths feature large custom tile showers with rainfall shower heads, and a soaker tub in the upstairs master bath for a spa-like experience. There is an additional spacious bedroom with a queen bed, and a bunk room with 2 twin beds, that is perfect for the kids. A queen size pull out sofa is located in the den to accommodate additional guests. The home also features several pieces of original art by well know artists. As a new custom home Starfish Cottage features hardwood floors throughout, granite counter tops in the kitchen and baths, travertine floors and showers in the bathrooms, and stainless steel appliances. The den includes a large (51”) LCD smart TV with Direct TV Satellite and each bedroom also has a large LCD TV. High speed Wi-Fi is also included as well as a gas grill for outdoor cooking. A collection of books and games are also provided for guests to use. Starfish Cottage is a short walk (5-6 minutes) to the Blue Mountain Beach Access, or an even shorter bike ride. The Lakeside at Blue Mountain Beach development is located directly behind Red Fish Village and is adjacent to Big Redfish Lake. The beach access has parking available if you prefer to drive, and has public restrooms. The neighborhood pool is right around the corner (less than a 1 minute walk). The pool area includes restrooms as well as lounge chairs, tables, and umbrellas. The house includes adult and kids bikes for your use.(we try to make sure all bikes in working condition but we do not guarantee the condition or number of bikes available at any time) There is a bike path, just across the road from the home, that runs along highway 30A, Point Washington State Park backs up to our neighborhood and is a great place to hike. Starfish Cottage is a short bike ride to historic Grayton Beach, Watercolor, and Seaside Florida. There are several great local restaurants, such as the famous Red Bar, and fun, eclectic shops. If you love ice cream then a visit to Blue Mountain Creamery Ice Cream shop is a must. It is located just 1 block away on 30A. Kayak or paddle board rental is available close by for use on the local dune lakes, or the Gulf of Mexico. Golf cart rental is also available. If you prefer a day out, we are situated approximately 30 minutes between Destin and Panama City Beach. Both have entertainment such as the Gulfarium Aquarium, water parks, dolphin tours, deep sea fishing tours, shopping and more. Please contact us anytime with questions about the property. Guest access Guests will have access to all areas of the house, as well as the neighborhood pool. Other things to note Please note that Starfish cottage does supply complimentary starter items for your stay which includes; toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, laundry and dishwasher tabs, and garbage bags for each trash can +1\. There should also be dish soap and cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink, along with pump hand soap in each bathroom. Depending on the length of your stay, and the number of guests in your party, you may need to purchase additional it Small dogs allowed in off season only. Pet fee of $150 per pet will be added. 2 pets maximum. Please contact us prior to booking. We provide a pack-n-play and high chair for small children. We provide a coffee maker and a Keurig. We also have several bikes available for your use at no charge during your stay. Spare bike tubes and tools for changing the tubes are available in the carport closet in the event of flat tires. If you need other bike maintenance during your stay please call us. We make no guarantee that our bikes are safe or operable condition. Bike riding may expose you to risk of injury or death. Do not ride our bikes unless you understand the inherent risk involved in using this equipment, and accept full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury which may result. All riders are recommended to wear helmets, and parents must accept all responsibility for allowing their children to use our bikes. Bike locks are provided and bikes must be locked when left in locations off of our property. Stolen bikes are the responsibility of the guest. We have been coming to the florida panhandle for over 30 years. Great house, great location. The only thing i didnt like was the pool , the water was cloudy everyday. We were there when they were suppose to be cleaning it. He didnt do much to clean it . He did take a pic.to show he had been there. This house had a very equipped kithen for cooking and with the high prices and long waits for eating out, we did a lot of cooking. Publix was only a 7 minute drive. We had some rain and storms during our stay so our teen boys joined a gym in Grayton and the moms did yoga at Yoga Bar which was a wonderful yoga experience. The house is walking distance to Red Fish Village and the shortcut path made it even closer. Red Fish Village has shops and restaurants. The Creamery Ice Cream on the way to and from the closest beach is top notch homemade ice cream and homemade waffle cones! The house had one good adult bike when we were there and some smaller kid bikes, but renting bikes from Sweet Escapes for $50 a week and they deliver and pick up was super convenient. Lots of boogy boards and beach chairs at the house and kids' sand toys. The location was great and the neighborhood is very peaceful and cute. The pool was super close and nice. We rode bikes every day and the 30A bike trail was super close. House was clean and we didn't see one bug the entire week which is amazing for a beach house! We had 10 people in our party. Two families with 4 teenagers between us and we all had a fabulous time. The owners/managers were super quick to respond whenever I had questions. We had such a fun girls trip at this location. The house is a quick bike ride to the beach and a cute little restaurant/bar shopping center!! Such a cute, family-friendly town that is less expensive than Seaside but just as cute! Plenty of starter items such as trash bags, TP, laundry pods and dishwasher pods. The small welcome bag was super thoughtful . We used the pack n play and my kids loved the bunkroom toy bin and all the beach toys in the outdoor closet. We rode a few of bikes. They were a little worn/rusty and we did have a chain fall off during a ride but it fixed easily. The biggest downside (at no fault of the owners), the pool was closed for the first 5 days of our stay so we only used it once and the women's bathroom was out of order as well. Definitely recommend using the cut through to the beach. Neighborhood had lots of kids. The pool was close and fun. This home was in the middle of all activities: Blue Mountain Creamery, beach of the Gulf , Red Fish Taco, Blue Mable’s! Bike rides to Shunk Gulley was fun. The kitchen was great to make meals. Sitting on the porch in the evenings. The house worked well for our two families. It was very nice having two master bedrooms. Easy walk to the beach and the heated pool was great for the cool temps! The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook. It was perfect for 6 adults and 2 ten year olds. Beds and bathrooms were great. Wish there were mirrors in bedrooms. Also we could have used more towel bars. A row of hooks in bedrooms would have been great. Upstairs balcony and front porch were used a lot. Kids loved the bikes. Had to put chain back on one. Appreciated the beach chairs and wagon but chairs Starting to rust. Due to COVID we grilled a lot. Propane may need refilled. Blue Mountain is perfect. Rosemary Beach and Seaside have gotten way too crowded for us. Our family loved staying at Starfish Cottage. The house had everything we needed and then some. The front porch was a great gathering spot. The neighborhood is friendly and family oriented. My kids loved the beach and the pool (and the collection of family games). It’s a beautiful house in a fun place to visit. There were 4 adults and 6 kids, and it was perfect. The kids were able to safely ride bikes in the street, and the walk to to the beach and creamery was not bad at all.
