The Pool was amazing. That is the only positive. This cabin had some bad reviews. I reached out to the management company and was assured everything was fixed, and corrected. LIES This cabin is remote. Couple of miles down backroads rough dirt roads. With limited visibility around curves and over rises. If you meet another car one of ya'll has to pull over. reviews mention the hill up to the cabin needing 4 wheel drive. YES. Absolutely we got lucky and were able to make it up with a front wheel drive SUV. But it wasn't easy. It wasn't safe. There was construction going on at the neighboring cabin. On our last full day they rutted the road horribly. We barely made it up the hill, it took us 4 attempts to make it up the hill. The folks in the cabin next to us (different Management company) Said they were told up front property was only accessible to 4x4. This was after the management company assured me a normal car wouldn't have any trouble. The address given by Vacasa wasn't not the address posting on the drive to the cabin. I tried to call the Management company. No answer. Send text at 8pm. Received response 330 AM. (1230PM in New Delhi) Suspect 3rd World Call center. NOT LOCAL SUPPORT Cabin needs maintenance. Landscaping. Deck is rotten. Rails on deck lose. Nail Pops on stairs. Pet door allows in bugs and rodents. Ceiling fans bang against light fixture. Strange Step in Kitchen. Thermostat from 1970's. NO SUPPORT FROM LOCAL PERSON. DO NOT USE!!! 1500 word limit not en

Tip top Mountain Cabin
What a great place, So many activities for all ages on premise. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of room for the entire family, should have taken all of them! All we needed was out on groceries and the place was fabulous! The driveway is not for the faint of heart or the weak hopefully you get a running start! We will be booking again when the pool is open! Don't let the front of the cabin fool you, it's fantastic with many hidden gems trails behind the cabin and all!

Worsts administration ever
No instructions on anything, it was dirty and Freezing, I called on my arrive date for over. 3 hours and n answer, we had to sleep in my car, next day I called Vacasa again and the told me that they will sen someone to fix, we waited for 3 hours and walked outside to seek fir help, some local man came in and fix at my cost the heater. Worst experience ever

Terrible experience. Rodent droppings on bed in loft, and in game room all over game tables.
Extremely disappointing experience. Have pictures of rodent droppings, a picture of a mouse that came out while my family was playing a game, and a video that you can hear a rodent tampering with items in the kitchen at night. I communicated my concerns from the beginning and NO ONE came on site to remedy the uncleanliness and they only gave us a $200 (and change) refund. We booked this for our 15 year wedding anniversary and it was the WORST experience we've had booking through VRBO. We thought about booking somewhere else but we're afraid we wouldn't be refunded our money so made it work but would not recommend this place to anyone!

We found a dead mouse and there were rat droppings all over.
After finding the mouse my family wanted to leave. The balance of the cabin seemed clean, so I convinced them to stay. I even cleaned up the mouse droppings on the games in the game room, but I could not convince them to play the games. Nearly spoiled our vacation and I feel I am due some refund.

Very Peaceful, Very Secluded
A very nice cabin with a great view from the back deck. We paid a very reasonable off-peak rate, so we were easy to please, but still very nice. I would, however, suggest Vacasa try to find a more thorough housekeeping crew. Lots of spiderwebs on the rear deck and front entrance, rat droppings on the air hockey table, and food scraps/crumbs in the fridge.

Needs Attention
This is our second stay at this home and we were honestly disappointed. The potential is definitely there. The pool is great and the location is perfect, quiet, with amazing mountain views. The house needs a DEEP cleaning inside and out. We live in the woods, we expect critters, but there are things that can be done to minimize their invasion. Spiders have taken over the property (2 ending up on me) and the "game room" is infested with some type of rodent whose feces is EVERYWHERE, including on top of the air hockey table, which barely works. No basketballs for indoor hoop, no balls for foosball, no bean bags for cornhole, severed cords and wires laying around in gameroom, and no net on the pool basketball hoop. Hope someone will give this beautiful home the attention it deserves. Positives: location, views, pool, hot tub, grill and outdoor seating

Amazing
Stunning views, best service I have ever had. The pool, hot tub and game room were so much fun. The cabin itself is beautiful. My husband and I are elderly and this was a very surprising gift from my brother in law. The last few years have been extremely hard, lost of our precious son, cancer, my husband's quadruple open heart surgery, covid breakthrough. This was a gift that we will never forget. It was so hard to leave. We dream God willing we can go one more time. Thanks to everyone who made this trip so special. You will never regret going and the memories you will create.

Overall we had a great time, just some minor complaints. To check in they don’t tell you to turn the deadbolt after putting the code in. We called and it took them about 30 minutes to get to us and we already figured out how to get in. Once in, I found 2 empty truly cans and a dirty sock the sock was on the pool deck. Again minor but the rest of the house was clean so I still rate it a 4 on cleanliness. The hot tub, ok, opened it and it looked like yellow throw up all around the rim. Called the manager she said it’s too much iron in the water and they ran out of chemicals that for it and couldn’t clean it up. However, Aaron, I believe she may be the housekeeper came late and was very diligent, she drained, cleaned and out chemicals so we could enjoy the hot tub! She even brought her son for assistance and we were so appreciative! The showers were a bit odd as you have to pull the nossile down where the water comes out of to get the water to come out of the shower head. Even though we had minor hiccups, location is great! Views amazing and so peaceful! My kids did not want to leave! Would recommend

Nice Cabin
Very nice and clean place. Enjoyed the pool and the hot tub a lot. Loved sitting in the enclosed sunroom and hanging out on deck enjoying the amazing view. The outside speakers on the house were also nice to have when sitting outside. Very nice place and super dog friendly.

I read reviews that made this property seem great but unfortunately that was not the experience we had. Our cabin smelt of must and cigarette smoke, the pool was cloudy. There were dead spiders all over the deck, the deck that looked like it hadn’t been clean in a year. The pool chairs are so dirty, I don’t know how anyone would ever sit on them. The game room was musty and smelly, no balls or bags available for any of the games. The side rails to the deck are very wobbly, be extra careful if you have children. The bedding and beds were extremely uncomfortable. The water pressure in the sink is so low it’s nearly impossible to wash your dishes. Our power went out, and when we tried to reach out to Vacasa, we were told three seperate times that they were opening up “tickets” and would have someone local reach out, all I ever got was auto generated correspondence. We ended up leaving early and we couldn’t even contact anyone to tell them we were checking out, again just auto generated remarks. Huge disappointment and I will never be renting a property that’s managed by Vacasa again. It is very apparent that they just care about the money and not actually taking care of the property or the renters. If I owned this home, I’d be switching management companies ASAP. On the positive side, the house has a nice kitchen and hot tub. The view is beautiful from the top story.

Over all this was a great place to stay. Beautiful cabin with awesome views. We would stay here again.. The suggestions would be, add something to the deck to help prevent slipping when wet. The other would be to make the floor even in the kitchen. We did trip a lot.

This property was so peaceful. As we walked in, the first feature that we noticed was how clean the cabin was. We enjoyed the back porch and the beautiful view we were greeted with each morning. If I was to stay in Helen again, this would be the place for me to stay!

Stunning view and beautiful home!
The home was exactly as described and the pictures do not do it justice. The views from the upper deck in the morning are outstandingly breathtaking. You do definitely need a 4 wheel drive also. We will for sure be back to this home next year.

Wonderful stay
This property exceeded our expectations! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and the pool and hot tub were amazing! Star Vista has the best view of all the properties on the mountain, the view was breathtaking! We loved being so secluded, that was one of the main reasons we chose this cabin. We will definitely be staying there again, I've already told several friends & family members (that have asked about it) they needed to rent this particular property. A week was not long enough, my husband and I nor our 15 year old twins wanted to leave! It was so relaxing. Amazing vacation! Already looking forward to staying there again next year!

Star Vista vacation
Star Vista was all that the listing said it would be! Clean, comfortable, well-appointed! The pool was lovely on the hot August days we were there, it was close to all the places we wanted to see, and the view was just gorgeous! The house had all that we needed, even for our laundry! We would definitely rent Star Vista again.

Cozy Cabin With Beautiful Views
Stayed in this cabin with my family of 5. Plenty of space throughout the cabin for us all. My kids especially enjoyed the pool and game room. Location is close to Helen, which was very convenient. Only advice to future visitors to this property is to have a vehicle with 4 wheel drive, very steep, and I would think it would be necessary for driving in any rain or snow. The mountain view is amazing!!!

Fun couples trip!
Great cabin for our couples trip! Stayed with one other couple for the weekend and had a great time. Cooked dinner in the kitchen for the first night and they had everything we needed. Easy drive into Helen. The view on the back deck was so great especially while relaxing in the clean hot tub! Would definitely return!

Perfect getaway
It was exactly as described and pictured. No difficulty at all accessing the property. Easy drive to Helen and other attractions. Hot tub perfect. Just a note that the gas fireplace produces mega heat upstairs. Once we figured that out we were able to better control the overall temperature. Cabin/house very comfortable. Watch out for the step in the kitchen.
