Don’t stay here
Description was terribly misleading. Driveway was dangerously steep. No communication with managers. Experience was so bad we left after our first night out of 4.

A little rough
It felt more like hunting cabin. Appliances a bit out dated. The entrance was awful. Gravel pit in front of drive way had ruts. Almost bottomed out. Driveway was very steep and there were no lights to guide us. We could not see that there was a driveway in front of the house, so we ended up parking in back and climbing up the hill at the side of the house to access the front door. Inside needs some maintenance. One of the risers on the stairs needs work. Piece of cabinet facing in kitchen fell off. Took some time to get the toaster working. Heat did not work downstairs. We called customer service in the morning to let them know of our concerns and that we would not be staying any longer. We have not heard back from anyone.

Bears Cove Cabin, Sautee Nacoochee
Met our online expectations! The drive way was very steep as stated in the description. The house was very nice, beautifully decorated! 3 bedrooms , 3 full bathrooms & one 1/2 bathroom. In One of the bedrooms upstairs, a twin bed frame was broken. The wifi/ internet would not connect / had no service. Pool table/ gaming area was a great addition to the home. But The Wine fridge would not cool. The house keeping staff did a good job cleaning but were a few things that needed tidying up in the kitchen. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils & pots/pans. Hot tub water smelt like Mildew due to The hot tub cover had mildew stains. Staff Could have used a few more spa chemicals before we arrived. The gas grill needed cleaning, we were grilling steaks & we had to keep putting out a grease fire. But overall we enjoyed our stay for our 3 day stay with our family!

The cabin is very nice, nature around so cool, but there was a big lack of driving to the steep hill guidance, my SUV ended at the ditch. I had to call a tow truck. After that, the VACASA supervisor called me and tell me how to drive my SUV to the parking lot. Instruction driving to the property s/b clear up.

Too cold to enjoy
Property as described but w a bit of a funky smell to it. Downstairs did not get above 63 degrees - not enjoyable during late Nov. Absolutely unable to use the downstairs because of this. Left the very next morning after a restless night - all fam members had to fit in 2 small upstairs bedrooms and barely big enough couch for one.

Spacious and still very comfy cozy.
We do family trips quite often and this is by far #1. We have a large family and it had plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. One of the hosts dropped off an extra ash bucket and gave us all the local places to go and visit while we were in town. Thank you Mr.Ray. We will definitely be back and staying here in the near future. Can't say enough good things.

Spring Break Family Vacation
We enjoyed the stay. It had everything we wanted and was conveniently located to downtown Helen & the Stare Park. We really enjoyed grilling & the hot tub. We did notice a few roaches but nothing serious and wanted you to know the hot water heaters are leaking down stairs. We noticed them when looking for blankets.

The property was beautiful. It is extremely difficult to get to. A 6 cylinder, rear wheel, or 4 wheel drive is a must to go up the driveway. Had issues with cleaning, roof leak, broken bed, and backed up septic. Management company did their best to help.

Awesome stay-bad aftermath
We had a great time staying here! Was the perfect size and the amenities were so beneficial. The driveway is a bit stressful but once you master it, you’re good! Unfortunately when we left we received a damage claim stating we put a hole in one of the bed room doors. If you look through the virtual door you can see the hole was in the photos prior to our stay. I felt as if we were trying to be scammed, luckily we weren’t held liable after those facts were brought to the rental companies attention. Hopefully this isn’t a common trick and others haven’t lost money due to it! Just a warning if you stay! Otherwise, GREAT place!!

German Cockroaches in a German Town
Let me start with the good. 1. The location is gorgeous. We had a beautiful white Christmas and the house was a short drive to Helen and many other attractions. 2. The cabin had enough space for 6 adults to be comfortable (though a sectional or additional couch would have been nice upstairs). 3. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and had nightly fires. That being said, there were several things that we were disappointed with. 1. We chose this house (and not others that were much cheaper) to enjoy the pool table. Please be aware that the pool table is in very poor condition. It is not level, the nor stable the entire table sways back and forth. 2. We found upwards of 20 German cockroaches during our stay. The house needs extermination. Those are not critters from outdoors. They are living in the house. 3. The beds. The bed downstairs is fine, however the twin mattresses are very uncomfortable and may even be broken. 4. Be prepared to drive your trash down the mountain to an alternate location. 5. Pots and pans are in bad shape. The Teflon is coming off of nearly all of the pots and pans. 6. The driveway is steep, but doable. We put our SUV in low gear and were fine. Did we have a nice time? Yes, because it was Christmas and we were spending time with family. Would I stay again? Probably not. For the price we paid, I expected things to be a bit better kept, have more seating around the fireplace, and no pest problems.

Nice set up with great amenities.
I’ve stayed at a Vacasa Cabin before. This is my first time handling the Renata myself. The chairs to the dining table had screws that were extremely loose. We were afraid that we would fall while sitting in them. We couldn’t open the gas to use the grill. They brought another tank but we had already cooked food in oven. Our first night we found clothing and trash underneath bed when I looked down to take off my shoes.
