“The cottage is a full, small house complete with a full kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. It is 1/2 block from the Chehalem Cultural Center and 2 blocks from coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants/bars in a residential area. It is about a 1/2 mile from a grocery store. We did not walk or go to George Fox, but I believe the campus is a short walk from the house. Ours was a mother-daughter weekend with a 3 month old baby. It would be perfect for a couple. ……

“The hosts answered my questions promptly. The house was stocked with the bare minimum. Only a few small spoons (I have kids) but five or so giant soup spoons. Enough knives and forks. Almost no cooking pots/pans, baking dishes and other kitchen necessities. I was hoping to cook a meal while we were there. We stayed in December. There was not an extra blanket to be found. Only one blanket on each bed. The house itself was adequate. We only stayed for two nights. ”

We were unable to reach anyone from either the property or Vrbo who could help at the time, so we had to spend part of our vacation finding another place to stay. “The barn has a really nice charm and unique character. I liked the artwork and books .The property manager was very prompt to answer my call and hear my concerns. I really enjoyed the instruments with my children and the outdoor nature views with the big windows it was the reason I booked it. With that said, a major draw back is the home needs some safety renovations if it is going to allow small families to book in my opinion . The sliding door in the back on the bottom floor doesn’t lock……
