Booking was easy, the contactless checkin was easy, the bed and linens were comfortable, and we enjoyed that the room had a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and provided us with a refillable water bottle and cookies at the front desk. We appreciated the complimentary beverages and the quietness there. The robes were cozy. The pool area was cute but the water was way too cold and there wasn’t a hot tub. Also, there was an issue with tacks sticking up on the carpet which poked us. The staff quickly worked to accommodate us and resolve the issue which was great. The parking was super easy, accessible, and affordable. Overall a very chill experience and we would definitely stay here again, especially on a budget.

The front desk staff included two people. A friendly well dressed, darker haired lady who was helpful and just really nice. Then there was a man with short hair, an untucked and wrinkly shirt as well as a look that made us feel that our presence just annoyed him. We found ourselves actively avoiding him. I recommend staying at the sister location just up the street.

We were allowed to check in early which was really helpful. The room was really nice and had little extras like bathrobes and two duvets per a bed which is such a novel idea and worked great for us. What would have been nicer is to have better parking spaces. I know the city is the one to command how much parking spaces but they are narrow. I was there for Seattle to Portland Bike ride and many of us had bike racks with bigger vehicles which made it hard.

My favourite thing by far was having separate blankets! I’ve never seen that before and I think every hotel should do this!!! Parking was a bit tricky as the lot filled up, those are tiny spaces! Wall are a bit thin but all in all I’d definitely stay again. Staff were great!

The staff were super friendly, and the beds were soooo comfortable. The only thing was that the elevator would only work for us going down, we didn’t seem to get off the first floor when trying to go up to our room despite swiping our card and pressing our floor numerous times.

The hotel was great, clean, comfortable. Only bad thing was the wifi cut in and out and at times didn’t work. Water bottle station was great. Pool was really cold but on a hot day was great.

The hotel is located in a convenient location close to trains and the UWash campus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. We particularly like the water bottle that the hotel gave to the guests for free. Unfortunately we lost it. We will stay there again next time.

I have been staying at the University Inn since 1971. Here are the pros: It's close to the U of Washington. It's close to public transportation. The Inn is competently run, clean. Here are the cons: A lot of the previous amenities, e.g., the complimentary breakfast are gone. It's gotten "corporate" expensive with its silly amenities fee, the cost of parking. The U district has gotten tattered and unsafe. Downtown Seattle is a disaster post-Covid. The myriad taxes and fees of just too much. The "pineapple" branding makes no sense. I'm out. Oh yes, our check in at midnight was ponderous and slow and unwelcomed.

It’s fine. Only highlight are the beds and bedding is really comfortable. Otherwise I would pass. Just a “redone” motel vibe that was not great. Would stay at another hotel for similar pricing . Area is meh with the university there.
