"The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant and bar are very accommodating and has a good variety of meals and drinks, and plenty of sport on the telly for the lone travelling workman 👍"

"Couldn't recommend this hotel more, perfectly placed for Beamish museum, spotless, food excellent ,staff couldn't have been nicer,room cosy, wasn't expecting much for such a reasonable price but pleasantly surprised, couple of nice pubs within walking distance too"

"Lovely place, lovely setting. Stayed either side of the Great North Run. Staff were absolutely lovely, even got complimentary drinks when they found we'd just been running! :) Room very nice and spacious, comfy bed, only complaint would be that room was a tad warm for me, even with radiator off! Complientary entry to the health club as a hotel guest was a big reason we picked here, enabled a good soak and steam after running!"
