Clean room, amenities, massage chair, suite-like room, futuristic Toyo toilet, TV in each room, two beds, spacious bathroom, the whole package. I stayed for three nights in the Luxury suite. It was worth it. They have three restaurants in the hotel. The Zao Ropeway is 5 to 10 minutes away. You can by your gondola tickets at the front desk at a discounted price. Location wise, you are literally near the slopes. The bus terminal is a 7 to 10 minute walk.

Absolutely incredible! The staff was very friendly and the onsens were relaxing. We didn't realize there was a shiatsu massage chair in the room. That was a definite bonus. We went for the junior suite, which was a bit of a splurge, but worth every penny. I would definitely recommend the upgrade.

Shinjo is one of Japan's most popular skiing spots. Around 3 ski runs of varying levels are open between December and March each year. Make your way to a beginners' area and sharpen your skills before going downhill skiing. If you need some extra gear, you can rent it at the ski village. When it's time to leave the slopes and get out of your skis, find your way to the day spa here. It's the perfect place to soothe sore muscles following a day of downhill action. The whole crew will have a blast on your family ski vacation in Shinjo, with cool activities such as tobogganing, snowboarding and night skiing on the menu too.
